Agree. She was a challenge and meanwhile he was afraid of her. They are similar in some aspects and totally different in other ones, so they become complete together.

Rory did not care how much money he had, or how much power his family had, how popular he was...etc which kinda bothered him...
but the more he got to know her the more he wanted to spend time with her... he just knew how differently they think about things so he wasn't brave enough to make the first move...
