Rory Gilmore and Logan Huntzberger Appreciation Thread

What is Sophies?

This is a play off of Logan's "Master and Commander" comment to Rory for what she should call him in episode 5.03, Written in the Stars.

Master and Commander is the first of Patrick O'Brian's novels about Jack Aubrey. Sophie is the square-rigged ship that Aubrey is Master and Commander of, and those who crew in her refer to themselves as Sophies. It is the ship where Jack Aubrey first makes his name.

So, it is in this spirit that those who ship the Master and Commander and His Lady are known as: Sophies.

The survival kit was cute.. Especially the plaque was cute, but that beer thing was funny! And Coffee!

I loved the package he sent her! My favorite part was the beer bong. I can just see Rory and Paris using that. Actually I would pay money to see them using it!

I'd pay to see that too.

The package it was so sweet, I just loved them, Idon't think they're too serious I mean it's part of being in a grown up relationship, i don't see them boring, I actually find them interesting.

Sometimes you hear that they're boring or too serious, so I was wondering what everyone else here thought.
I think they're interesting too.. especially on this show, since that aren't that many 'adult' relationships on the show, so it's nice to actually see one progress.

Exactly it's really great to see a relationship like them, they both have evolved and have manage to "emerge" ( that's the only word that comes to my mind ) their lives together, they are both supportive of one another, it's really great.

I actually think their relationship is the most mature one after Richard and Emily. I don't think Lorelai has had tht kinda relationship.

I do not think that they are too serios ... they are grown up, it's a adult relationship ... it would be a shame when everything is hilarious to them ... (I hope you know what I mean)

Definitely.. Richard and Emily have one of the most mature relationships on the show. Without a doubt, and they should IMO.
As serious as Lorelai was with either Luke or Chris, it was never really like Rory and Logan's relationship. Though I do think that this season Lorelai is more involved in a relationship, or at least will fight a bit more for it. She's less passive, because last season she was totally not fighting for her relationship if you ask me.
And Rory and Logan have always fought for their relationship, and sometimes you have to do that I think. It can't all be about sunshine and what not.

Right and ... what is more important: they talked and talk about their problems ... Lorelai said in the last episode that Luke wasn't communicative ... I think that was their problem ... the "silence" between them when it came to conflicts ... Rory and Logan are different ... they talk even about such stupid things like the crush on a teacher (I still hope that wasn't a recurrent role

)
