Logan does nothing but suicide missions I guess... In Omnia Paratus!

You think Logan would give up easily!?

After their last scene? It's hard to say this but yes

I'm on the 'maybe' side when it comes to giving up.
Maybe he'll think 'It's probably not meant to be' or something like that.

He could think that remainds me a bit on the scene when Carolyn tells Lorelai exactly that in Partings.

Some things are just never meant to be, no matter how much we wish they were...

the way R/L ended totally has some resemblences with the S6 partings situation with L/L, at least in some ways.. not all ways thankfully.

that last sentence is depressing Jess..

Well those two had their happy ending at least in some ways.

From the LoLo thread:

But if you think about it, it was not the gesture itself, so Rory wasn't that bothered with it being public. Something we have thought for weeks..
That's right but if it wasn't the public but the gesture itself it make me even more depressed.

well it at least shows that the way Logan made the proposal wasn't a bother for Rory. At least he knew that she wouln't be bothered by it, I think that's the positive way to look at it.

But it is depressing if you think about it that the question was so difficult for her to answer. Even right after the proposal when she said that it wasn't about the gestures..

IMO L/L had a realistic happy ending.

It only shows that it was from the first second a 'no' and she never really put thought about saying yes. Of courye we have the ring scene and the smile but for me it only showed that Rory could love the idea beeing married to Logan someday...not now.

I think the problem was that Rory didn't really give him a reason not to walk away. She said "can't we at least try" and he asked "what's the point?" And she had no answer. If the problem was that Rory just wasn't ready, she should have given him some indication that someday she would be ready. To be apart from eachother indefinitely with no long term commitment is not fair to either of them, and that was all she was willing to offer. I don't blame her for saying no, but I think she should have given him some indication that eventually their realtionship would head that way. I think if she had given him something, anything to make him believe that, he would have stayed.

I agree with that..

I agree that she didn't give him a solid reason when he asked her, but she did say that she loved the idea of marrying him. So to me that was the indication that someday she would be ready.

You hear a lot of 'Rory didn't want to marry him' which IMO is completely false because she did say that she could see being married to him one day, just not right now.

I think Rory never gave any indication to that because Logan would factor her in, at least that's what he said. I think Rory held onto that.

I think the problem with the factor in thing is that Rory maybe also Logan never thought that Logan would get a job first. They talked about what would happen if Rory gets a job, that Logan could move away with him, but it was never the other way around.

That was the problem yes, they both thought Rory would get a job before Logan would. That was one of the mistakes they made.

I think maybe she wanted to marry him, but Idon't think the way she said 'she wanted her doors open' was the best way to say I want to marry you in the future, that's like saying you'll hold me back
