Rory Gilmore and Logan Huntzberger Appreciation Thread

What is Sophies?
This is a play off of Logan's "Master and Commander" comment to Rory for what she should call him in episode 5.03, Written in the Stars.

Master and Commander is the first of Patrick O'Brian's novels about Jack Aubrey. Sophie is the square-rigged ship that Aubrey is Master and Commander of, and those who crew in her refer to themselves as Sophies. It is the ship where Jack Aubrey first makes his name.

So, it is in this spirit that those who ship the Master and Commander and His Lady are known as: Sophies.

I think we were up to the first 2/3 scenes.. until Logan got home and Rory had to go to leave for her grandparents?!

Loved the elevator ride with mitchum btw! He made some good points, some that even Rory couldn't disagree with.

It was nice to hear Mitchums opinion. He was always the bad guy but he had good reasons to send him to London.
Well you can argue about if it had to be that far away but the point is it wasn't because of his relationship with Rory or something like that.

i guess if he was in new york he could still meet up with colin and finn and everyone quite regularly, which is what he did in 716 actually. and maybe the london paper just needed more help(?) but yeah i think it was good that mitchum wasn't just 'the bad guy'.
the next scene is when logan returns with colin and fiin, and he says he wants to spend the night with rory

it's so sweet that he wants to be with her rather than his friends!

I think Mitchum did want him to steer him away from everybody he knew so he would really grow up, without having the chance of falling back into his old lifestyle..

I'm glad we got this side of Mitchum, finally a side that he did truly care for his son, and wanted the best for him.

I loved that sentence

I just like how they hugged and kissed on the couch and really not wanting to be seperated

It was so cute how he remembered the 'teacher' bit from SGT when he said 'You afraid the teachers are going to see you?'

It was weird to see Rory as a blonde.. But it did look good on her..

Not really light blonde though, it should be that blonde color!!

Alexis really performed some of her best acting in this episode IMO.
