Rory Gilmore and Logan Huntzberger Appreciation Thread

What is Sophies?

This is a play off of Logan's "Master and Commander" comment to Rory for what she should call him in episode 5.03, Written in the Stars.

Master and Commander is the first of Patrick O'Brian's novels about Jack Aubrey. Sophie is the square-rigged ship that Aubrey is Master and Commander of, and those who crew in her refer to themselves as Sophies. It is the ship where Jack Aubrey first makes his name.

So, it is in this spirit that those who ship the Master and Commander and His Lady are known as: Sophies.

I love how the maze was so symbolic in the last ep.. this title reminds me of that..
Let's hope it was symbolic.. it came off that way though.

Love that.. Logan is definitely somebody who shows his love like that.. Through the touches and the smiles.. Or that's all Matt's doing, either way I'm loving those touches and smiles

wow that was amazing his eyes, that kiss, it conveyed so much! I loved that scene and we have discussed that by not saying he totally say it, which is so cute!

I think Rory saying ILY to Logan without expecting him to say it back, ws one of the things I think show a little maturity on her. And his rant I think part of him wanted to say it...and somehow he was expecting her to say it anytime soon, and by expecting it, it's obvious he was thinking if he was feeling it too.

He was indeed cute

He was somewhat caught off guard but it was clear that he loved her too

That was a wonderful scene. I love how he ended their conversation by kissing her

and the things he said already told you that Rory was different from any other girl he was with, and that he clearly felt different about her.
It made it even more meaningful when he said I love you.. because you knew he meant it.

Dr.Shaprio: He's not.
Rory: No, he's not. We broke up. Oh no, I'm sorry, he broke up. I thought we were just taking some time but apparently I'm a moron.
Dr. Shapiro: This is Logan?
Rory: Oh, you have his name, too? Super! Do you also have the picture of him hijacking me in my hallway earlier today?Dr. Shapiro: I'm sorry, what?
Rory: I mean how fair is that? He's gone and then he shows up out of the blue, 'you can't live here it's a dump. And by the way I love you!' I love you? Is he serious?
Dr. Shapiro: I don't know.
Rory: [crying] Nothing for weeks, and then he decides he loves me? So what happens now? I get another Birkin bag? And how long until he doesn't love me again, huh?
[Dr. Shapiro picks up the kleenex box and holds it out to her. Rory takes a bunch of tissues.]
Rory: I stole a boat with him! I never stole a boat with Dean!
Dr. Shapiro: Who's Dean?
Rory: My married ex-boyfriend who I lost my virginity to!
Dr. Shapiro: Wow.
Rory: Yeah! I'm a treat! I don't know what Im going to do. I don't think I can take it, running into him every day in the halls, at the paper...the coffee cart! Oh my god, I'm going to have to stop drinking coffee! And I love coffee! [Rory grabs another handful of kleenex.] I really love coffee!!

I love it!
