How did they first meet again? They mentioned it.. somewhere.. Something like 'Hey do you work on Young Americans too?' something like that.. Right?

it was cute how they both wanted to remain friends..

GOsh I found a Ed interview where he talks about Matt.

Your first series was Young Americans, which was the spin off of a popular series [Dawson’s Creek] and getting good buzz but the plug got pulled after just like eight episodes. Was that disappointing?

Yeah, it was definitely disappointing at the time. It was my first series – in fact it was my first pilot season. I was excited I got a script that was already on the air. So you don’t realize how hard it is to get a show on the air. It was a great show. It was an amazing experience. Unfortunately all the grown-ups didn’t get along, so they cancelled the show. But as far as all of us, we had a great time – a great experience. It was a horizon. Who knows, maybe Katie Bosworth wouldn’t be Katie Bosworth [without the experience]. Ian [Somerhalder] wouldn’t have been able to do Lost. My buddy Matt Czuchry wouldn’t have been able to go to Gilmore Girls.

Yeah, I interviewed Matt during the Gilmore Girls years. He’s a really great guy.
