Okay, so i'm still like in shock that i actually met him and took a picture with him. he's so nice its unbelievable...i think i love him even more...really he was super sweet.

So me and my friend got there at around 2...(we went to the 8:30 show.) I dont actually live in LA, i live in San diego but close enough right? we got there early just so we could hang out and walk around LA...so we got to the playhouse at like 7, right when they were opening the doors. The playhouse is beautiful...i fell in love with it. its really cute...the brick walls and the iron gates were fantastic! (I have a thing for theaters)

Honestly i had no idea what to expect...i sort of knew what it was about but i wasnt expecting it to be that funny. I have to say its definitely one of my favorite plays...seriosly. its incredible, funny, depressing (Laurie's father), and well...it had Matt in it

I somewhat agree with some of you that Matt used too many hand gestures, but its always sort of been his thing you know? Even in Gilmore girls...he used a lot of hand gestures...i like it...its like his signature thing lol. I didnt think it messed with the show at all so it was fine by me...besides, it wasnt too noticable if you werent looking intently...of course all of us on here are probably watching him as intently as possible lol

I'll admit i was a little worried that the first act was going to be boring, as most theater production first acts are...but it really wasnt...from the second "Laurie" stepped foot on stage and did her opening monologue, to the very end...it was full of amazing storylines, comedy and just incredible messages...

By the way...what is it with Matt and Yale? Oh and ...... Groton? Didnt they mention that in Gilmore girls?! o_O

Okay enough of my rambling...so the second half was amazing as well...as it was said before Matt was wearing jeans pretty much the entire time except for the last scene with featured him in shorts. Oh and...did anyone else think that Matt/Sarah kiss was HOTT...........seriously. i was like wow...they just keep going.

So meeting Matt:

Before the show, i was sort of hesitating to ask...thinking they'd be like "ugh not again" or whatever but eventually i was like i wont be able to watch the show if i dont ask. so i went up to the concierge with my friend and asked them if there was any way to meet the actors. (even though it was said on here many times...i was super anxious and wanted to be sure) They said the same thing...that they walk down the stairs after the show. It was actually really funny because we got to LA so early, we were at the playhouse multiple times that day, either passing by or just haning out there...that whenever we saw a blonde guy in the playhouse, me and my friend were like "Uhh...damn its not him"

After the play, after i made it into the lobby and most of the guests were already gone, i guess there were a bunch of other poeple like me that wanted to meet the actors as well, every blonde guy that walked down the stairs had me freaking out until i noticed they werent him...lol. So [i]finally[i] he came down and had sort of a confused look on his face...it was cute. he came down and it wasnt like he was bombarded with fans...but there were like 6or 7 people down there waiting, not just for him but for Sarah as well...i forgot to mention they came down together.

So i was waiting to say hi to him and finally he made his way towards me...i guess he noticed i had my eye on him so he came up to me and i was like "hi, you were incredible" and i was just rambling about how amazing he was during the performance and how i really appreciated his work. The entire time he had that really cute smirk on his face...not to mention whne i finished talking it was sort of embaressing because he looked so amused...

But yeah finally he was like "Hi i'm Matt" and shook my hand and stuff...i was like "Yeah i know" really quickly...he just sort of laughed, which was cute...god i love him. okay sorry, right. so we exchanged names...uhm having him say my name...AMAZING. I wanted to be like "excuse me...i need to go scream now"

So after i rambled and we exchanged names he was like "Thanks for coming, we really appreciate it...its a lot of fun" overall he was really nice...So i asked him to sign my program and he was like "Oh yeah sure, anything...whatever you guys want" he told me and my friend

After he signed the program i whipped my camera out and was like "Sorry could i just take a picture with you?" He just grinned and was like "Of course, i'd be happy to" so we took a picture together...and then he hugged me...didnt have to ask for it or anything,,,,it was incredible. but yeah then he was like "Well thank you guys for coming, we appreciate it and i hope you enjoyed the show" before he left.

Me and my friend rushed back to my car and screamed our lungs out afterwards...thats pretty much it. it was amazing...gah.

By the way i also met Sarah, who is also a sweetheart. she walked down and i was like "Hey i really enjoyed the show, it was incredible...and you did an amazing job" and she was like "Aww thanks, well we have fun doing it and i'm glad you enjoyed the show"

I love her as well...but yeah. thats pretty much it...

So HAPPY.

We'd follow his every move, right until the point that he leaves the stage..
His hand gestures is also a part of directing. At least that's what a few reviews had pointed out.

LOL, I sort of did the same thing. I saw this guy standing in the theater a couple times an hour before doors opened, and I was hoping it was him, but I don't think it was. I'm glad I'm not the only crazy person looking out for him before the show, haha.

San diego is about 2 hours from LA. so its not horrible...but the Traffic makes it so much worse.

You know...its extremely surreal...i still cant believe that i did and i'm just still in awe right now. i'm hoping this wears off, as great as it is, because all i can tthink/talk about is my experience of meeting him...it was incredible.

I would've been really surprised if he had been a jackass. I love that in interviews, I always get the impression from Matt that he appreciates his fans and the hard work involved in succeeding as an actor. It's one of the things I love most about him.

Yeah i didnt mean him particularly, i've heard from several people that he's really sweet and down to earth. not to mention like you said, in interviews, he always seems so grounded and appreciative, and i agree, i love that about him as well.

I mostly meant just in general you know? Like when you go meet an actor or a celebrity or somthing, its just like...i hope he's not a complete jackass or anything. but i wasnt expecting Matt to be...at the risk of sounding really corny he's pretty much everything i'd hoped for.

Oh, yeah, I know exactly what you mean. There are definitely some celebrities with bad reputations, and you really don't know what to expect. Celebs like Matt are very refreshing since they are so grounded.
