Ausiello's answer still makes me curious, the not yet bit is creating some sort of hope within me.
I don't have hope, at least I don't want to feel hopefull when it comes from Mike. I don't trust this guy.

ah yes I remember you not liking him from the spoilers thread
He's been right a lot (and wrong too sometimes), I think he's more reliable then Kristin, who usually comes with scoop already known..

Better Kristin tells stuff that we know as Mike tells things which are wrong

Mike is often right You can't overlook that fact.
Kristin has been wrong a lot too in the past.. more then Ausiello

The Ryan Merriman site though lists something about Gravity.

Quote:
The Gravity of Pilot Season
Ryan Report 2nd Qtr. 2007
2
Pilot season came and went. I
arrived in an ice storm, but things
quickly heated up. Three weeks into
pilot season, I booked a new series
presentation for the CW network,
called Gravity. I was reluctant to
consider doing a TV series again, and
almost didn’t take the final network
meeting, but this one just kept coming
back to me and somehow seemed
right. I was actually on my way to a
film meeting when I checked with my
agent, who told me they had come
back and wanted me to be at the
network test. I told her…”Tell them I’ll
be there.” With only fifteen minutes to
spare, I changed clothes, grabbed the
material for Gravity and headed to the
network test.
Once I signed on, everything looked
good, and I was actually excited to be
a part of it. I had a chance to meet a
fellow cast member, get to know the
producers and director a bit, and life
was looking good. Then, just as I was
planning to close the apartment and
pack the car for the road trip back
to Oklahoma and get ready for my
trip to Vancouver to begin shooting,
things came to a screeching halt. The
pilot lost its show runner and other
things began to fall apart. Not being
able to pull it back together in time to
shoot the presentation for the current
season, the project went on hold.
There is still a small hope that the
project can be lined up to be ready for
next season, but it’s a long shot right
now. We will have to see how the cards
fall for this one. I would certainly be
willing to sign on again if it comes
back around. I really liked the project
and the people associated with it. I
come from a family of law enforcement
officers, my grandfather and two
uncles. Playing a young rookie cop was
something that really interested me.
Pilot season for me, whether it was
auditioning for film or TV, had
more ups and downs than any roller
coaster ride I went on while shooting
FD3. There were extreme highs
and moments of excitement and
anticipation, several twists and turns
and then, just like Gravity, often in
this business what goes up sometimes
comes down. I never let it get to me.
As an actor, and in life too, you just
have to be ready to move forward, say
“next” and then be ready to bounce
in any direction. So, right now I’m
bouncing and staying true to my
motto…Rock Steady!
This season I read for some great
projects, took some amazing meetings
with a lot of respected and very
influential producers, directors and
casting directors in the industry, and I
am confident that some of the ground
work I laid in LA during pilot season
will come full circle for me in time.
There will always be the right project
for me at the right time, I am confident
of that.

I like how Ryan talks about everything. So they had a show runner and lost him?

I can see hope for me

I don't want to have hope if it's not being picked up next year.. Now I just want a bigger network for Matt.. I hope he's not clinging on this too much

I do like how this Ryan guy described everything, especially this:
Quote:
I had a chance to meet a
fellow cast member, get to know the
producers and director a bit, and life
was looking good.
Who did you meet?

and it has to be Matt if life was looking good afterwards

;lol: those were my exact thoughts when i read it karen!!
and also congrats for the ausiello response. the 'not yet' may just mean that he's saying it's possible that he could be approached, but he hasn't been. so he doesn't wanna say 'matt will never ever be asked', like he's not ruling it out. see what i mean?
i also have hope for a matt film or a show on a bigger network!
i'm glad there's at least some activity on the news thread

There is some activity, and we got a lot of clarity this week on Gossip Girl and Gravity..
I smell a pattern of shows that start with a G.. Move away from that Matt

I hope that soon the news thread will be filled with other, cheerful, news

Hey, this is Ryanne, webmistress of Ryan Merriman's official website and largest fansite.

Ryan just said the following about Gravity in an interview he did with homeofthegiants.com

Quote:
Well, you mentioned "Comanche Moon", which will be airing in October on CBS, and you did another project called "Gravity". Is there anything that you can tell us about either of them?

Ryan: Comanche Moon is a Western with Val Kilmer, Steve Zahn and Rachel Griffiths, it's the prequel to Lonesome Dove actually, set 20 years before the one you guys saw with Robert Duvall and Tommy Lee Jones. I play young Jake Spoon, young Robert Urich. As for Gravity, it got cancelled before we even shot the pilot, but it's still listed on IMDB, so we didn't even do that.

So it not looking good for Matt right now? He needs to look for more jobs.
The shows starts filming this week or so but I guess it isn't too late for him to get a small part later on in the season.
I hope he can be in a movie. He can't stay unemployed for too long. It's not good for him (or us) at all.
