Synopsis

Tucker decides to take an impromptu trip to celebrate his friend's bachelor party. He drags his friend into a lie with his fiancée, gets him into trouble and then abandons him in order to pursue a hilarious carnal interest. Tucker is disinvited to the wedding, and in order to get back in, Tucker has to find a way to balance his narcissism with the demands of friendship.

Plotline:

A guy tries to patch things up with his soon-to-be-married pal after botching things up at his bachelor party. Based on Tucker Max's best-seller "I Hope They Serve Beer in Hell".

I went through some old threads before the Matt rumores started and because we seem to be close to the opening of the movie site, here a post Tucker made early 2008

Here are the things we are already including, so please DON'T post these, I don't want 100 posts of stuff we already know: * Extensive character bios * Extensive bios for creatives, (producers, director, cast, etc with links to real myspace pages of actors) * Scripts, all major versions of the scripts from first draft to final shooting script * Extensive history of the "real" stories that inspired the movie, with links to TuckerMax.com and the books * Bios for the real people who inspired the characters (Tucker, SlingBlade, etc) * Gallery (pics of the shoot, pre and post prod, etc, etc) * Blog/News * Trailers/clips (hosted on our site and YouTube) * Documentation of the “character research” trip to Vegas with Tucker’s real friends. Actors write about what it was like to meet “the real SlingBlade,” etc. * Storyboards (if used) * Music page, about all the songs in the movie * Press, promotional materials, myspace skins (all under Creative Commons so everyone can use it anywhere) * Store, a place to buy shirts, DVD’s, autographed books, etc * Scene-by-scene guide to all the little things: cameos, background stuff, trivia, etc. * A What Is? Section, for instance, “What is a grip?” “What is a best boy” etc. *The big idea: From The Idea to The Screen: How to make a movie This is the big thing I think will not only differentiate this movie site from others, but will drive a ton of traffic. We are going to have a distinct section that basically tracks exactly how to go from an idea to a theatrical release. There are books and **** about this, but I am quite literally in the middle of doing this, and I can't find a resource on this that covers the whole process in the new media environment.

Oh and if it's still planned, they are going to release ringtones with quotes fromt he movie.

that's a lot of things planned. Of course they have to see if that was all realistic back then and if the distrubtor and such wants all those things too.

Its kind of ridiculous that we're already like waiting for the distributor announcement for like 3-4 months now.
