I'm remembering 3 things right now

1. Amy said the 4 episodes are a journey. This is one, 1 minute set up scene of Rory' status quo, we don't know how it proceeds

2. They aren't going to write off Logan's character in these episodes no matter how much Literati want them to. Everyone will have their moment. Amy does not hate Logan like some Literati hate Logan.

3. I want to put 2 and 2 together but I might get 5. Rory had the right guy for the right time and ASP specifically notes Jess and Dean when talking about old boyfriends Rory outgrew. We could infer that as she is with Logan now, now is the right time for Logan and Rory. Logan isn't just college, he's adulthood compared to childhood Dean and teen rebellion Jess?

Logan, being blamed for Rory's poor choices AGAIN by fans. I always say, 2 episodes in season 6 don't negate seasons of character for Jess. I'll make it even 1 scene in Winter does not negate seasons of character for Logan. Bad choices don't necessarily make you a bad person if you make them for the right reasons.

Storytelling rules demand that:

- Rory and Logan are found out, this may be linked to the curious case of the missing underwear as I've speculated before

- Rory and Logan have tension about their situation. I'm confused about why Amy has gone backwards on the relationship to their casual situation when both knew neither could handle it before. If you watch the dance in Wedding Bell Blues in isolation you would think Rory was OK with the situation the first time, she wasn't as we saw. One 1 minute scene isn't enough, it will be more complex

What I hate the most in this fandom is double standard. Lit fans were all ok when there was cheating involved in the beginning of Jess/Rory, and now they think R/L is doomed because Rory was cheating? And of course it is all Logan's fault even if he isn't the cheater.

This reboot has only 4 episodes, the conflicts of the story have to be put in the first episode already. It is Logan or single.
I am ready for some angst, especially if the Nick/Alan weeping thing was about a R/L scene.

the AMA thread now has some nasty comments too. It really takes the fun out of things. It was kind of nice to know that the girl who started the thread is actually a Jess fan and was left with the impression that this is setting Rory and Logan up for a relationship. I'm kind of surprised that Logan isn't at Richard'a memorial. I thought for sure that he would come to that, but according to the AMA, he's only in it for that one minute to show that he and Rory are hooking up.

IA. If Logan's role in her narrative is to show how "toxic" their relationship can be, then why waste time with his friends in the final episode of everything? so unnecessary.
The hate is really... 2006 all over again. I was following a link to a gg icons lj community someone was linking to as credit for their RL icon, and while I couldn't find the icon, I did find anti Logan and "pod Rory sux" icons...

idk but I'm not too worried, I also feel like Liza was leaning on her own interpretation in that recent interview, and what she said as well can be open to interpretation.

Besides I don't think Jess's role im Fall is that big, since he wasn't in the table read, so Dan did his lines. I dunno how table read stuff works, but I guess it's not unimportant if there were people doing it by phone.

Its to show everyone what performance choices you are going to make so they can work on their own and the director can see what to change, or emphasise. If you have a big key scene you probably should be there.

My guess is that they're making Paul into some uber clingy dude and Rory doesn't have the guts to break off their...whatever you want to call it. Even if Rory is not into Paul anymore it's still gross for her to lead him on for so long.

Some people are convinced on Reddit that Rory/Logan aren't sleeping together which I find interesting. That she's just borrowing some of his clothes and that they are just friends. The Vegas line is weird unless he's referring to his other lady friends? I think it's a stretch but an interesting perspective.
