Just for fun, there is a heart in Logan's cup. I think it is interesting how the cups are arranged as Dean-Max, Logan-Luke and Jess-Chris. Those are the the parallels I would choose for the girls's boys.

You can definitely over analyze the cup picture non-stop. I am honestly not going to try. At least the Netflix promo department definitely knows what it is doing.

I always thought Logan and Rory had cute Richard and Emily symmetry more than anything. Listen to all those anecdotes about them when they were young and the expectations they had for Lorelai. The story in Lorelai's graduation about going to Vassar and marrying a Yale man with a cute nickname for her was very telling as they wanted her to have the lives they had. And Rory and Logan hooking up at Richard and Emily's vow renewal.

I hope the revival draws on that and we see those parallels again with Richard gone. Maybe helping Rory realise what is important in life.

I keep telling myself that ASP is far too naturalistic in her writing to have Rory run off with the bad boy she dated a few months when she was 17-18 rather than getting back together with the person she lived with and spent 3 years with and rejected Jess for in the first place. That is too 90210 for Gilmore Girls.

True...it scares me a little..but anyway..lets enjoy the moment! I definitely think there's a connection between the mugs and I think that Jess and Chris can relate to each other because they're theoretically the right choices...Jess is the guy that Rory maybe wanted to love...cause he has the same interests she has although I really dont think he was a good boyfriend but anyway...hes not the guy she will choose because things dont work like that. We dont choose who We love...the same happened to Lorelai...she wanted to love Chris..and in a way she Did...but not the way he wanted, he wasnt Luke.

Hmm, I think Rory loved Jess but woke up and realized he was bad news and not healthy for her. Logan, on the other hand, pushed her and supported her and challenged her. He was a positive influence. Does anyone here have info on ASP's original plan for RL?
