I think if midway S7 there was a known fact that S7 would be the last, with no possible S8, I think the show would have ended differently. Well not on the L/L side, because the way that went was quite natural, the pace and everything. But I think on the Rory/Logan side we may have seen more differences.

maybe. But I think it was like we knew it was pretty much over, but there was hope, and the writers went with that

well even LG/AB thought there was a chance for them to return. If they were to return and they had closed off every story, then there wouldn't be much storylines they could return to.. They had to leave a 'door open' (no pun intended )

I still can't believe that they didn't come back for at least 13 episodes ... that would have been enough to find some closure ...

I miss Logan ... I really do

Yeah cause Matt always said he the RL end cause it depends on if it's the season final or the series final. And RL wise we definitely got the season final.

Well for me almost everything was a season final in 7.22 but RL felt the most like it especially with us knowing of Logans return in season 8

I think it was a bad move on their side, cause they actually thought they would get back on season 8th and fix the end of season 7th.

I think the rest of the finale was very much as a series finale. Lots of lorelai/rory moments, the main focus of the show honestly, and a sort of 'goodbye' too as a fan with the goodbye party.

yeah, that's right, Karen ... the end of the episode was quite a good one for the series finale ... but not for RL ... that was definitely the season finale ... and I am still very mad that we've got this one

I can't be mad about it honestly, I'm kind of grateful it was open ended for R/L.. A hard to complete open end, but I'm sure the writers had a plan...

Honestly? I don't care about an open end ... I would have loved a complete one ... happily even after

I really care about the way it ended. I mean by 7.22 it was like Logan who? pretty much
