It was good to see the work dork in him. That he didn't enjoy just fun in his life. That he loved his job although that it was in London.

It was kind of surprising how much he loved his job, in some way you expected it before S7 started, but in this ep he had no complaints at all about doing the job, apart from it being in London that is.

I'm sure Logan always loved to write or to do something serious like the job. The problem was that his family told him what he had to do, so you could never really see in the seasons that he liked to work hard. With this job away from his family he finally could handle his life alone ( or a bit more as before) He was responsible for his actions and I think that helped him a lot.

I think the fact that during college it was forced, and it was his time of 'freedom', I think Logan never really wanted to do it, perhaps to rebel against his family who kept on nagging him about it.

Perhaps the distance now did help him to give him that sense of freedom to enjoy his work.
I wonder how Mitchum came to the idea of London. In fics you sometimes read that Mitchum was like that when he was young to, and went through the same thing.
