I personally don't think that Lor really gave Logan much of a chance from day one when she found them in the room together making out . I think from that day on she was more then happy to see the bad in Logan and not see the good
in him.

I know. For some reason when Rory met Logan I really stopped liking Lorelai. All she ever saw was the bad guy in him. (saw is was backwards) She never really even gave him much of a chance I just really don't think she is really even allowed to be that judgmental without being hypocritical.

Exactly I sis not feel like she gave him much of a chance at all because of how she found them plus because of the money.
I think when your daughter likes some one you give them the chance and if they hurt her you comfort her you don't say what a raunchy person he is, because what if they get back together again.

I know. She did that just about all the time when she was younger. And she really needs to get over the whole money thing. What happened to not judging a book by its cover?
And it wasn't even like, she loved him. Yeah. If they hurt her, you comfort her and tell her how everything will work out and it will be okay. I would never want my mom to do that to me.

I think she is the reason Rory said no to Logan's proposal. She was being selfish because he life wasn't working out the way she wanted it to, so Rory's should suffer as well.

I don't know that many people who do agree with me on that.

And I hate how in fics Rory and Lorelai are always so close, closer than the show. There are few writers who can really understand how to really write that. Lauren from example does that really well.
But back to the show, I think there are some moments when Lorelai is playing the best friend too much and needs to realize she is the mother. She should want to see her daughter happy, have a twinkle in her eye even if it she doesn't feel it's the right thing, it probably is and if it isn't, Rory can figure that out on her own. It's called learning from your mistakes.

and if you don't make mistakes how do you grow??

Ok back to Logan

I think that Logan was really good for Rory her best boyfriend ever. Even through there ups and downs.

You don't

But that's what is good. A relationship needs the ups and downs, a good balance. Everything can't be good (more Dean) and everything can't be bad (more Jess) Logan gave her life more of a point to live for, more of an umph to her life. He gave her something new, something she needed. All her life had been Stars Hollow and he showed her there are more people out there for her other than small town charm.

Yes he got her out of her shell a bit more because she lived a very sheltered life in a way and Logan helped her to get out of that,to live to see how life can be fun and i think her mom was afraid
for her.

I think so too. I think Lorelai was afraid that Rory wasn't afraid of Logan. I think she felt like Rory needed to be afraid and more cautious of him, but she was doing just the opposite. She was living with him, doing things she would never have done. So instead of being happy her daughter was opening up, she was afraid she was losing her best friend and she needed to realize right then and there that it was her daughter... man I keep venturing off on Lorelai But even after the pie Logan and Lorelai shared, I still think she didn't like him. Why else would she not even give her input for him asking for Rory's hand? At times like these in the show, it makes me like fanfic better than the actual writing.

Well she never liked the rich people or how they behaved. She has an idea of what they're like, especially kids who live off their daddy's money.

Good point, never bad mouth the other person because you never know what may happen in the future.. And it could really cause a wedge between a mother or daughter for example if said daughter reunited with an ex-boyfriend, who the mother bad mouthed.

I disagree with that, Lorelai gave no opinion before Rory said 'no'. I don't think Lorelai influenced her that much in her 'no' decision. Maybe slightly, but it wasn't the ultimate factor.

I second that

I think Logan did make that nice balance of Jess and Dean.. The good and the bad.

But that's just it. She didn't say anything. That was opinion enough. If she would have felt good about it she would have told Rory how she felt or at least hinted her in the other direction. I mean it probably wasn't all because of Lorelai I know (the Lor hater in me was coming out ) but she helped contribute eve if it was by not saying anything.

But have you ever noticed how much Lorelai and Logan are alike? I mean there is the obvious stuff, coming from money, break free at a young age (Lor younger though) both names start with L, rule breakers, like to live a little... yes personalities are very much alike, but the things their characters do.
Makeout in coat closets, Or bigger things like... hand out ultimatums to work in their favor when they really miscalculated? Fight for the other when the other one isn't reallly fighting back?
