Actually, that's false. It needs to be scrapped and completely re-conceptualized. The problem is that they tried to make a trailer like every other Hollywood comedy--meaningless cuts, goofy jokes, show the hijinks and get out--and that doesn't work with this movie because that is not at all what this movie is about. Not at all.

This is not a big deal, I know the material is there to make a kickass trailer, but we are going to have to really think about it and work on it, instead of just plugging scenes in the standard Hollywood comedy template. This is not a paint-by-numbers movie, so the standard way of doing things won't work most of the time.

All this means is that we probably won't have the trailer done by the time we were hoping. Sucks, but whatever, welcome to making movies. Nothing is ever on time. But it'll be up soon, I promise.

The trailer we outlined today I think is really good. The biggest problem we are facing is the difference between the red and green band trailer. A red band trailer can have anything in it that movie has in it. A green band trailer has to be approved for all audiences, which makes it super ****ing hard--like 80% of our jokes are immediately ruled out for one reason or another.

But I think we found a good series of solutions. You'll see once we get it solidified.

EDIT: Actually, we may not even release the greenband trailer online. We may just stick it in front of some movies, then put the redband trailer online, since it will be so much better.

they should do no voiceover in the trailer.. at least not by any of the actors... they should just let the guy who usually does trailer voice overs, let him do it..

I want both trailers!

Especially with a movie like that, I can't see a voice over from a chara see fitting there

and Tucker didn't even watch the first work on the trailer cause Nils said it sucked so much

I just care because he's been promising it for ages and doesn't really tell us.. I mean the premiere is less then 85 days away, most movies would have released their distributor by now..

and I am really curious if this distributor is as big as Tucker claims it to be.
