From now on we will start a episode discussion for every episode Logan was in.
We will discuss his scenes, the one he is mentioned and how our opinions have changed since we watched the episode for the first time.

Episode description

People can live a hundred years without really living for a minute. You climb up here with me, it’s one less minute you haven’t lived

Rory gets her story on the "Life and Death Brigade" by being blindfolded and whisked away by Logan and his friends to observe the elaborately staged weekend in the woods, and finally, after Logan encourages her to take a risk, to participate in the event's breathtaking finale.

Okay I'll answer the question, because I'm in a good mood today.

When I heard it first on the episode before I was curious.

I remember that I found out about it in the episode, because at that time I
wasn't reading any spoilers.

I remember when Rory saw that picture at
the YDN that I was curious as hell.

I think the relationship was over the first
time Logan appeard. It was just a matter of time and YJIJJ was the last piece
to it.

I had a blast.

It was intersting to watch Rory struggle with talking to
someone that was on the same level as her.

It made thinks intersting
that there is a guy out there, that gives her contra. Normally all the guys
just were on her heels eating out of her hands n a few seconds.
It was genius to see that there was something, but he wouldn't show
the interest and leave with two girls in the end.

Well no. The relationshipf was clear to me from the beginning.
The 'You jump, I jump Jack' was to me just typical Gilmore talk.

Really the episode was just perfect.

I guess it was the real kick off to a different relationship.

A great episode of season 5.

1. What did you expect when you first heard from the LDB event?
A event with people like Colin, Logan and Finn and some crazy stunt.

2. Blindfolded in the hall. Would you have done that too?
If someone like Logan would have asked me to do it and I really wanted to find something out I would have done it.

3. Do you think we could already see the end of R/D relationship and that episode?
I think you could see that something would change and Logan took her to the event, he wouldn't have done that with everyone.

4. How did you like the RL talk during the first night of the weekend?
I think Rory noticed that Logan isn't as bad as she thought he is.

5. Stephanie suspected Rory wanted something from Logan. Do you agree?
Yes. He's charming, handsome and he has an eye for dresses

6. How did you like the dress Logan gave her?
Its a beautiful dress and Rory looked amazing wearing it.

7. What do you think made Rory jump?
The talk about her never taking a risk.

8. Would you jump?
After a talk like the one Logan gave Rory and with someone holding my hand during the jump I would.

9. Do you think they hinted a relationship with letting Rory use 'You Jump, I jump, Jack', a quote from Titanic with one of the greatest lovestories with Rose and Jack?

I think the quote was just to tell Logan that she trusted him and she would jump.

10. Why do you think Rory didn'T let go of Logans hand after the jump.
I think they both enjoyed the moment together.

11. Why do you think Logan gave Rory the pictures of her jump in the end?
To remind her to take some risks in her live and to make sure she had something to remind her of the event.

12. Do you think after that weekend she was a official member of the LDB?
I hope so, but I think she was. After all she got a gorilla mask

13. General thoughts about Logan and RL in this episode
It was amazing, perfect....

14. How important is for you this episode when you look back?
I think it was really important. You could see that they could be really good for each other.

1. What did you expect when you first heard from the LDB event?

Nothing to be honest.

THis episode I started season 5 with. (season4 in germany ended and around that time 5x07 was airing in the USA)
So I did not get exactly everything from the beginning, and when Rory got the invitation and it was signed with the LDB I was like

But I intrigued by it from the first moment on.

2. Blindfolded in the hall. Would you have done that too?

Sure why not?

3. Do you think we could already see the end of R/D relationship and that episode?

Absolutly. ´With the missing calls and cancalled meetings although for me their second relationship already ended when it started. After the summer in felt to me like they just got together because after everything that happened they should be together.

4. How did you like the RL talk during the first night of the weekend?

I was a bit surprised by it but it made me like Logan more. Especially because that was the episode that made me love him. as mentioned above it was great that there was finally some guy that had a witty response to everything she said.

5. Stephanie suspected Rory wanted something from Logan. Do you agree?

I think she thought that he was good looking but nothing more, at least not at that night, but 24 hours later...

6. How did you like the dress Logan gave her?

Great.

Always nice to find a guy with a good taste.

7. What do you think made Rory jump?

I think there were a few things. She wanted to prove herself in front of LOgan, she wanted to show him that she wasn'T that sheltered. Logans words about 'people livining 100 years without really living...'

8. Would you jump?

That's actually hard to answer.

I think he wanted her to give her something nice and because he knew it wouldn't be something she would use for her article but smething that could remind her on her once in a lifetime experience.

12. Do you think after that weekend she was a official member of the LDB?

I'm not sure.

She got the mask and all I know. And she knew when the events were but why didn't she went with them to Costa Rica? I mean I guess that would have been not the best idea because she had trouble with Logan but shouldn't they have at least mentioned it?

13. General thoughts about Logan and RL in this episode

General. I think it was a very important episode for Logan to get to know him better. Before it the episode it felt like they introduced him but you still asked yourself. Who is this guy? What does he want? Is he really the arrogant jerk? Or is this just act? There were a lot of unanswered questioned and a few answeres we got in this episode. They showed us that he is so much more then we maybe thought. It made me get interested in the character and his background.

14. How important is for you this episode when you look back?

I think it is one of the most important episodes in season 5 for Rory and Logan, althought it was at the beginning of their history.
With the handholding and the feeling that they understood each other the showed us, or me at least that there could be something going on for them on in the future. I felt the chemistry between Matt and Alexis and the sparks between Rory and Logan after the jump.

Some sort of fancy event, but I didn't expect it to be that big and elaborate.

If I was really truly intrigued, then sure.

Oh yeah. If I didn't know any better and only watched the jump, I would have thought that R/L were already together

I thought it was very interesting. It was nice to see Rory having to actually work to keep up in a conversation.

Well, I think she felt something with him... some kind of chemistry. But I don't think she consciously acknowledged it until after the jump at least.

6. How did you like the dress Logan gave her?
Gorgeous dress, loved it

7. What do you think made Rory jump?
It was definitely the talk that Logan gave her

. And like Jess said Rory probably wanted to prove to him that she could do something different just for a thrill.

8. Would you jump?
I think I would actually, it looks really fun

. I'd do it just for kicks and with a guy like Logan holding my hand...

Not really, Rory just always has to have a comeback to everything. And GG's pop culture references are never ending. Maybe they did, but I wouldn't think so

I'm not sure she realized she was doing it; It probably felt natural

Pretty much what's been already said: So that Rory will be able to remember that moment in her life.

12. Do you think after that weekend she was a official member of the LDB?
I don't think so. Just like all those fanfics, I think that the LDB would have a whole initiation ceremony if she was being inducted.

13. General thoughts about Logan and RL in this episode
It was a great episode, one of my favourites looking back. I loved the chemistry

14. How important is for you this episode when you look back?
It was very important. It was the first time Rory got a look at Logan besides labeling him as the arrogant blond rich kid she happens to go to Yale with.

Oh yes. The relationship was over before it really began. I think Dean was for Rory only a safe port. It was her first love - and in my opinion a great first love - but not more. Nothing that meant to be.

4. How did you like the RL talk during the first night of the weekend?

I loved it

Logan was amazing in those talk (in every talk they had). He was the first male person in her life that also gave her contra.

5. Stephanie suspected Rory wanted something from Logan. Do you agree?

Look at those man

I loved it. Even if I always wondered how she was able to climb up the ladder in those dress.

7. What do you think made Rory jump?

The speech before and Logan himself. And the fact that she trusted him (even if she didn't really knew him).

8. Would you jump?

With the right person next to me .. Yes

With Logan.. yes yes yes

9. Do you think they hinted a relationship with letting Rory use 'You Jump, I jump, Jack', a quote from Titanic with one of the greatest lovestories with Rose and Jack?

No I don't think so.. maybe a little bit but it was the normal movie reference they always used in GG.

10. Why do you think Rory didn't let go of Logans hand after the jump.

Because the jump was a quite intimate moment and they weren't ready to let those moment to pass by that fast.

11. Why do you think Logan gave Rory the pictures of her jump in the end?

To show her that there is more behind Rory Gilmore. That she can be more than the nice, sweet girl from Stars Hollow. And to remember the moment they had together.

12. Do you think after that weekend she was a official member of the LDB?

Don't think so

13. General thoughts about Logan and RL in this episode

He was cute, funny and perfect.

14. How important is for you this episode when you look back?

It is one of my fav. episodes from season 5

And it was an important episode for the RL relationship

That new fic (of strings and cables) has a great description of YJIJJ.

When they hit the ground and were in one piece, Rory couldn’t help but admire Logan. He looked so alive and just for a moment he had shared that feeling with her. Rory’s only regret about that day is that she wasn’t brave enough to kiss him.
