Written in the stars

From this week on, every Tuesday like the good old times, we will start a episode discussion for every episode Logan was in.
We will discuss his scenes, the one he is mentioned and how our opinions have changed since we watch the episode for the first time.

The mods will provide you also with some questions concerning the scenes to give you something to think about so you can hopefully discuss is with us. You don't need the answer said question it's just something to help you, feel free to bring your own questions and thoughts into it too.

Episode description

Someday you will meet someone, without knowing that this person could change your life forver.

Back at Yale, Rory and Marty meet Logan, Colin and Finn, three arrogant jerks Marty bartendered for during one of their parties. They are everything Rory hates about society. But what she doesn't know is that the confusion of one of the guys will lead them faster as she thought back to herself and her life.

1. Did you realize, when seeing Logans first two scenes, that he would play a major role later?
2. Your first thoughts on Logan and Colin and Finn after the first meeting with Rory?
3. Same question for their second scene.
4. Did you feel chemistry between Rory and Logan in the first episode?
5. Why do you think is their second meeting so special in their history?
6. Did you started to root for the blonde jerk with the smirk from the first episode on? When yes why?

Definitely not! I thought he would be one of those rich kids, or the start of the line of rich kids that would stir Rory's life up a bit to show the difference between SH and Yale. Never thought he'd stick around for more.

Loved that scene, so much better then the first scene.. The start of Master and Commander, 'I'll remember your name' and such things..

I loved the banter that wasn't really present in that 1st scene.

Not in the 1st scene since they hardly interacted, the 2nd scene definitely showed a bit of that, and it got me intrigued.

Because it was a start of the banter that continued in other episodes, it was the start of Rory getting to know the richer people at Yale and see that not all was that great at the higher classes. And for once it was a guy that didn't immediately fell for Rory at the 1st moment.

Since I didn't know when I first watched it, that he would come back, I didn't root. I was happy to see him return later on.

That made 5.03 even better to rewatch, knowing it wasn't his sole appereance.

I don't think she was his biggest fan.

at the end of the episode I thought he was arrogant but there was something that made him likeable.. That definiltey changed over the course of episodes when more layers were visible to the audience.

Nope, but I hoped he would. I am always attracted to the bad/evil/ass type guys. I like things difficult.

Eh not much, but wanted them back for more. They had potential.

This could the the start of a beautiful relationship/friendship.

I saw the three of them as a challenge and entertainment. Hoped they would be back for more.

Not really. But opposits attract, so thats what I was pulling for.

Its when their digs and banter with each other started. It showed that they had possibilites and it showed Rory that not all rich people are the typical rich stereo types. Plus Logan saw Rory as a challenge and one that he wanted to take. He was intrigued and didn't see her as just another girl.

Yes! Even though I didn't know if he would be back, I thought there was tons of potential. Not to mention good eye candy.

So I would try to answer the questions, but the truth is, I don't remember watching the episode for the first time. I wasn't a regular GG watcher at that time. I watched when it first aired then when Buffy got moved to the UPN it was opposite GG and since I couldn't watch both I stopped watching GG. But then I started to see an episode here and there in the beginning of season 5 and eventually I got hooked. Of course Logan was the major reason for that

I don't know if I'd have thought so At the time, bu in retropspect it seemed pretty obvious after the second meeting that Logan was going to be arond for a while. It was obvious he was just trying to get her riled up and it was great to see that, because no one else has ever gotten Rory so flustered before. Their interaction in that scene is just so dynamic. And of course Logan is totally drool worthy as always. There's just somehting about him that is epitomized in that scene that just makes you want to slap him and kiss him at the same time. It's very "Rhett Butler" I love it.
