I think he tried to keep his distance at some point, and has backed off al ittle bit, but I can see why that would be hard to do . He is closer to his patients then the average doctor.

Yes, I remember that. When Nic woke him up a couple of episodes to tell him that Henry he was awake, that was the moment he realized that he needed more distance like Nic had told him several times. Just seems like recently it is getting harder for him to stay away, or to keep his normal doctor/patient relationship.
