So is Conrad supposed to be a deadly psychopath? That's not really what the show seems like to me from what we have seen so far. Am I missing something? Here's to hoping he's not too crazy!

I don't think he will necesarily be deadly. Sure, he was responsible for that girl dying, but he seemed to have a lot of remorse for it. He takes a lot of chances, that is for sure. That can be good sometimes, or bad, depending on what is going on.

That was the original description of the character when it was supposed to air on Showtime. Once Fox bought the pilot the description changed because probably there was a rewrite of the script. I don't think Conrad is going to be written or portrayed like a "deadly psychopath" anymore. Nothing I've read about the pilot makes me think otherwise. It looks more like he doesn't follow the rules and is willing to use unorthodox methods to save patients' life even when it's risky and controversial.

This is what I thought after watching the trailer for the first time (haven't read the original description of the pilot or anything like that).

in a certain way it's more interesting to see a less experienced doctor see what an elder doctor (who's superior) doing wrong things than the other way around.

Oh ok good to know! I didn't want Matt to be playing someone I can't root for.

Like I really want him to have a brother. That dynamic would be fun. We did not have that with Matt before. And Cary's off screen brother does not count.
