6.20 - Super Cool Party People

Luke decides to give April a birthday party at the diner. Lorelai volunteers to help, and is hurt when Luke explains that he still thinks it’s too soon for April and Lorelai to meet. However, Luke changes his mind when the party is a disaster, giving Lorelai a chance to bond with April while turning the party into a huge success. Meanwhile, Rory rushes to be with Logan at the hospital after he is seriously injured during a stunt with the Life and Death Brigade.

The episode was written by David Rosenthal and directed by Ken Whittingham

Best Parts:
1. Rory calling Michem and telling him off. That I must say was my fav part of the eppisode. Go Rory!
2. Mrs. Patty not telling Luke about Lorelai's sad drucken toast.
3. Lorelai and April finally bonding.
4. Collen and Fins Adoption Joke. Now that was funny.
5. Paris getting iformation on Logan for Rory that was so nice of her.
6. Sookie telling Lorelai all she did at the Wedding and Lorelai asking the omlet guy if he wanted a peice of her.

Worse Parts:
1. I hated Luke telling Lorelai that it was too soon because April will like her better then him. I thought that was selfish and very imature.
2. Anna getting mad because Lorelai helped Luke with the party, and the way she treated Lorelai. I think Anna is just jelous.
3. Luke cusing Cesier what was with that.
4. Logan being hurt that was kinda sad.

Over all it was a good eppisode I give it a 6.5 meaning it was not the best but I didn't not like it either.

I think that the episode was really sweet... Rory caring so much for Logan was really sweet and i liked the whole brushing his hair and holding his hand at the end of the episode..
This episode is a good one for their relationship... it certainly showed both of them that they don't want to loose each other...

and Rory calling Mitchum to tell him what's been bugging her for quite a long time was good for her but also sweet that she stood up for Logan a little bit

I'm only talking about the Logan parts, but I loved this episode!
I've completely forgiven Rory, she was amazing. Logan is the sweetest guy in the world. It really broke my heart to see him lying there like that.
Colin and Finn were really funny. It wasn't the best time to joke, but I still laughed. "Finn..Buttercup."

and rory was great yes.. as was Logan yes... in that second scene when we saw him lying there I even thought he looked worse then in the promo...

and Dave Rosenthal did a pretty good job actually... Very enjoyable episode!

I'm also happy about Dave's writing. Hopefully it will stay this good.

of course there will be other writers on the show next year.. I'm actually hoping that the writer from 6.14, that new writer Jordan Nardino also stays.. he wrote a pretty good GG episode.. especially since he just started...

I've got pretty good faith in the new writers.
But it does feel a bit weird that ASP will be gone. I want to know what those 4 last words are.

But I'm keeping faith and with an episode like this, that faith remains good
It will be weird without ASP/DP yes.. I agree, let's hope they're doing their final episodes on this show really well...

I loved this episode!

I agree with everyone he did look worse! His face was so puffy they did an excellent makeup job on him! I loved that Rory told off Mitchum it was great!!! I was sitting there saying Go Rory!! I also loved how Logan told Roiy not to feel guilty about his accident. It was his fault not hers I can wait until next week with her taking charge of his recovery

Logan: What's wrong? I'm feeling better. What?
Rory: I'm sorry
Logan: About what?
Rory: About letting you go on this trip. I should haved stopped you. I was just so busy being mad at you. I...I didn't think I was trying to punish you but I was trying to punish you.
Logan: No Rory
Rory: I should have stopped you.
Logan: Hey, you couldn't stop me. A team of psychiatrists with tranquilizer guns couldn't have stop me. I was going no matter what. It's my fault. Do not feel guilty about this.
Rory: I just sent you out that door. I didn't even care. I was so cold. I could have lost you,
Logan: You didn't lose me.
Rory: But I could have though.
Logan: Look, I'm the one screwing things up with us here not you. I'm sorry you're in the hospital right now I'm sorry about all this. I don't know what's going on with me but it will get better. Things will calm down I just need you to bare with me Ok?
Rory: Ok.

sweet quote! I love that part! It already says so much about the both of them

yeah I was rooting for Rory too with that phonecall...
I also liked the hallucination part... 'Am I hallucating?" Really sweet.. especially the way Rory/Alexis responded to it with facial expression

I agree Karen! I also liked how she was so relieved when she realized he was really awake Did anyone notice how in the first scene his voice was muffled and in the last scene it was normal? I know it was part of the storyline but I think it was neat
