Apartment 1303 certainly comes to mind there, from what we heard about the change of director, etc.

That one literally always springs to mind as a role where I felt like Mischa wanted to get off the set immediately, lol. It was the strongest vibe I got like that since they made her work with the Johnny actor on The OC.

It did sound like she really didn't enjoy that one at all. Didn't she say in interviews that the main reason she signed up to do it was that she wanted to work with the original director?

Yeah, I think she did. Directors can definitely make or break a project for actors.

Yeah, she did say that the choice of director was a major factor in her signing up for it, and that she was very unhappy when they replaced him with someone else.

Also, if a director is a real jerk, actors who aren't like...Brad Pitt have very little power to do anything about it, which can be a miserable experience. As any of us who have had a terrible manager know well, lol.

There's lots of jerks and egomaniacs in the entertainment industry - as I know only too well from personal experience!

Fortunately, I never encountered one of those myself - and if I had, they'd have had a swift knee somewhere tender!

I've heard about the "casting couch", but to hear the stories of Weinstein in such detail...it's disgusting.

The "casting couch" has always been around ever since the movie industry began, and probably before that too, so it's nothing new. And stuff of the level of what he's allegedly been up to isn't really new either, based on what I've heard from others. What is new is that people are finally talking about it and bringing it out from the shadows. There's always been a lot of shady or sharp practices in the entertainment industry, with loads of people all out to exploit you or rip you off, and it can be a soul-destroying career unless you've got a rhino-like skin. People think it's a glamorous life, but most of the time it's far from, and no surprise that a lot of people end up with relationship troubles, substance abuse problems or other issues.

Kevin Spacey is another, who clearly relied on silence for decades. And he's especially strange for me, because I have friends in the NY theater scene, and now they're like "Oh yeah, everyone knew about Spacey." ...Everyone? I didn't! LOL.

Based on the posts this past few days, it seems like they are still looking for a distribution deal.

Sigh- happens too often with indie movies.

Which is why Mischa needs a big-name title to get things moving again.
