It says on the bottom that this is going to have a graphic novel release. I wonder if they'll use Mischa's likeness for it? I'm sure they will, and it will probably be pretty cool.

Also, in other news, Cameron Bright got tall. He looks taller than Mischa in that one pic.

Thanks a bunch Sam. This has been a pretty big week on the Mischa front. I'm loving all the new stuff about her films.

Also did you read the plot? It sounds soo exciting!!

Recent engineering graduate Sam Walczak (Barton) travels to the middle of nowhere to supervise demolition of the mysterious Malestrazza building. She soon comes face to face with the horrifying secrets of the building and its past inhabitants, many of whom were entombed alive within the walls of the pristine building by its obsessed architect.
As Sam begins to unravel the clandestine details of the architect's life and his astonishing building, she is drawn into a dark and frightening reality which forces her to accept her own dark past and turn the tables before she becomes the last victim.

That graphic novel thing sounds like a great idea. The graphics on the website actually look kinda comicy so they must be using some of the art.

I wasn't expecting this to have such a rolled out release. A blog. A mailing list. Competitions. etc etc.

Spacedog Graphic Novel Inspires Upcoming Mischa Barton Film “Walled In”

Leomax Productions and Spacedog Entertainment join forces to produce a feature-length psychological horror film that will serve as a companion piece to the Spacedog graphic novel Walled In, which in turn will act as a prequel to the film.

Directed by France’s Gilles Paquet-Brenner (UV, Pretty Things) and starring the OC’s very own Mischa Barton (The Sixth Sense, Notting Hill) alongside co-stars Deborah Kara Unger (Payback, Sunshine), and Cameron Bright (Thank You for Smoking, X-Men: The Last Stand), Walled In is based on the novel Les Emmurés by Sergio Brusolo, author of the 2003 sci-fi animated feature The Rain Children.

Walled In, the movie, follows engineering graduate Sam Walczak, a demolitions expert following in her family’s footsteps. Sam is hired to supervise the demolition of a mysterious building, an estate constructed long ago by the infamous architect Malestrazza, a man inspired by Egyptian sorcery to entomb his residents within the building’s very walls. Sam’s time inside Malestrazza’s home unveils unknown details of the architect’s life, and the long-forgotten secrets of his astonishing house.

Illustrated by the extremely talented Dennis Calero (Legion of Super-Heroes, Peter David’s current run on X-Factor), the graphic novel explores the life of Malestrazza, prior to the motion picture. The book is scheduled for a summer 2008 release. The movie - which is in post-production - is expected the following fall.

Considered to start in September, usually. Kids go back to school in the fall, lol. Here in NC though, it most definitely does not start to FEEL like autumn until October.
