Homicide was also good, to be fair, but The Wire was better. Baltimore is such an odd place. Sometimes it's not nearly as bad as you think it's going to be, and then suddenly it's much worse.

I can't believe it's not streaming! Unlike L&O, it doesn't air on every cable channel every hour of the day, so it can't be syndication.

Although it's super annoying you can't even PAY for L&O in the US. Not even on Amazon. That's how hardcore the syndication deals seem to be.
