If FOX cancelled AD and that show was amazing they should trash The OC without even thinking twice about it. Josh killed this show whenever he killed Marissa. He sucks. That is all for now.

I wrote this in an e-mail to Jess, but it can go here as well. Regarding The Ties That Bind.

I just don't think there was anything noble or necessary about what Ryan did in TTTB. He wasn't cutting Theresa off or abandoning her; he was more than willing to help her. But they were not together and they were not in love and he wasn't doing anyone any favors following her back to Chino. He let her do this so many times. He LET her guilt him into things, often at Marissa's expense. As she never complained, it was never treated in the same way as when she did things at his expense, even though this particular thing was incredibly catastrophic. Why didn't he think 'I wouldn't be helping this baby bringing her into a loveless and resentful situation when the Cohens are more than willing to help out financially, and I'm leaving a future and a family and a girl who loves me and needs me for a baby that's in all likelihood not mine as we're putting a one night stand against a sexually active relationship'? Why didn't he think that in the long run if the baby WAS his, that he'd be able to provide it much more of a future if he was somewhere where he could get a good education and a shot at college, as opposed to a minimum wage job? It's that same old martyr complex that I was apparently supposed to find heroic and instead simply found tiring, where I felt like he was doing things to preserve his own self image as opposed to doing the best thing for everyone surrounding him.

I believe that Ryan should of just picked Marissa no questioned ask. Because if Marissa was in Theresa I would think Ryan would jump at the chance to help her and even more stay with her.

In a way, The Countdown did. Because Ryan never really was the same post Oliver, and she was never the same in response. It was a cycle. He didn't respect her as much as he used to and she didn't MAKE him respect her as much as he used to. She should have taken his head off for TTTB, told him to go **** himself for strolling back into town like he never left in TWWW, slapped him for how he spoke to her in The Ex Factor, told him to shove it up his ass for showing up about five minutes before prom ended in his street clothes, demanded he give her some emotional security after what happened with Trey, pushed him off the lifeguard stand for suggesting TREY leaving was why he was alone....I can keep going, lol.
