Here we go again! Ryan's looking like he's going to get involved with Taylor- but not before he vents his "rage" in a way that neither respects nor honors Marissa. Basically, he hasn't changed much.

i mean when you loose to One Tree Hill and supernatural shows from a very small network i think it's time to throw in the towel lol. they tried so hard to see if wedsday would work all it did was embarrased them more by trying to compete with OTH when they should be competeting against Friday night lights how does OTH beet you in demos it's just weird lol.

I'm just so sick of people going on about how Ryan will be truly happy now that Marissa's gone.In a way I wish that Ryan had died instead but Ryan's the main character so he couldn't(plus I like the Seth/Ryan friendship).Marissa was a much more interesting character to me then Ryan ever was.I don't get all the comments about Mischa being bad at acting,I think she's great.I actually think she's better than Ben.I live in the UK and i'm watching season 4 online but that's only because I love Seth and Summer.People criticised Marissa for sleeping with Volchek or just even having Johnny as a friend but when Ryan sleeps with Chloe that waitress it's ok(probably becuase they got to see a shirtless Ben).

Not that anyone cares about the character of Ryan, but the way people like critizes him etc. I wonder if some of you would feel this strongly if he was the one that died in the car accident and NOT Marissa. I am begining to think maybe not.

And that depends on who you ask. Some posters didn't care about Ryan before all this **** happened. I personally would have the same reaction if Marissa was the one macking on someone in Episode 4 and didn't give a **** about Ryan. Because that's just ****ed up.

This is Mischa's board, so a lot of us are what you might call "Marissa Fan First"s. Meaning we watched for Marissa and if we were RM fans (I was at one point; I gave up long before she died), Ryan was a secondary character. Basically, he was only interesting to us if he was in a scene with Marissa. Another problem is that Ryan was behaving HORRIBLY in the 11 episodes before she died (315-325, with a concentration on 315-321 with behavior that never got explained or resolved, where he broke up with her over the phone, essentially called her a whore by comparing her to Jess Sathers, and completely dismissed any importance she'd had in his life proclaiming he was happier than he'd ever been with Sadie). He completely fell out of love with her, while she cried and passed out and got addicted to drugs and went after Sadie to make him happy and agreed to lie to the cops and pawned her jewelry for him. So Ryan was already screwed with a lot of people when she died. And then she died, and after doing NOTHING to honor or respect her, instead using her death to further his rage issues and martyr complex, he's moving on in .0002 seconds. Ryan has a lot of things stacked against him, lol.

In short, some of us liked her more no matter what happened and others had the Ryan love beaten out of them.

I think the moving on in .0002 seconds after she was KILLED takes the cake. Like, I thought he was quick when they just broke up. She's dead and he's even quicker. Damn.

ETA: I love the people who are like, "Ryan can't be miserable for the rest of his life. He should be able to be happy." And apparently that means he can move on 2 seconds later. And it IS 2 seconds later for the audience. It's not like we watched him mourn for 5 months. I don't give a **** WHAT Josh is trying to claim.

When the show first came on i loved Marissa. Then around episode 16 she annoyed me, but she still was my fav. Then i loved her again lol. I never been that huge of a fan of Ryan's maybe the first few episode i was, but ehh Marissa was the most interesting thing on that show. See Lucas i actually am interested in his storylines even if he is with Brooke When Ryan was with that girl i forgot her name in season 2 who was Kritens sister they bored me to death. I was even more interested in the Marissa lesbian thing I don't know Ryan just don't seem that interested to me Is it my fault not really it's the writers for doing that to him.

Are you sure that Ryan is the star of The OC? Marissa made this show for three years and now the stars are SS....
My opinion about Ryan? I loved him in the first season. When he chose Theresa, I decided to be only an RM shipper. I appreciated both, Ryan wasn't the exclusive.
Now I think Ryan killed Marissa and in that moment he's dead with her.

I love Marissa and Mischa wholeheartly, and I am still am upset by the crap the writers decided to pull **** that they did last season. and I agree that Ryan did do some pretty crappy things to Marissa etc. I dont know maybe I just dont feel comfortable when it turns into just a Ryan bashing, because what happens if people such as myself liked Marissa and Ryan but wanted to rant about stuff about the show etc but really cant because the person that people bash is the one you still like somewhat. I dont know maybe I am just being stupid or something LOL but wouldnt it make it a bit uncomfortable posting for others who do?

Well, you have to remember that this is a ranting thread for Mischa/Marissa. It's not to protect Ryan. I'm sorry you feel uncomfortable, but I mean, but point of this thread is to rant about what was done to Mischa/Marissa. It's not to rant about other random people. And it's not a thread designed to feel sorry for Ryan. He's the one moving on and will eventually forget Marissa. There's no way he's not going to be bitched about.

Honestly, we're clearly not the majority of opinions. There are plenty of places on the internet that feel the same way that you do. This is like, the ONE thread we have. And it's clearly not going to make some people happy. But, again, there are many other places where you can talk to people that have your same opinion. Fanbolt, the main OC board on FF, etc.
