Ryan moved on from 401. LOL. I'm sorry, even when he was going all CAGE FIGHTER, he never MISSED Marissa. He felt guilty. Once he got revenge on Volchok, he was fine and dandy, as if all he needed to do was catch him and then he'd be ~fine~ in life. Ryan never expressed missing Marissa in his life, and never mentioned a void from her absence. It was never about HER. It was about his guilt. Guilt does not equal love.

This is so sad. Because it's true. Ryan never fails to 'on' and 'off' himself in a switch. And Ben's acting choices made it worse. He made Ryan looked so bored when he threw away Marissa's pictures and the model home CD! I just can't believe he THREW AWAY her pictures! If that doesn't show how much he couldn't care less that she died, I don't know what is. One would hold on to THOSE, except Ryan. Not to mention before throwing it away, he looked at the photos and STARED into boredom and blinked his eyes.... but for REAL, BEN, there are other ways to show sadness or whatever emotion he was trying to emote.

Who in their right MIND falls in love as quickly as Ryan did with his randoms?

And the thing is, the character of Ryan should not be able get into relationships easily. It doesn't work this way. People who grew up with trust issues because of a series of betrayals and disappointments that life has dealt them DON'T behave how Ryan does.

and that is my main issue... that was what the basis of Who Ryan was Pre Season 1, but after that they tore him to shreads people. and look at him in S4. a big old "hot mess.

So much word, baggirl. I really didn't like how Ryan was portrayed in 401, I don't know if it was the writing or the acting, but maybe it was the combination of both. And I thought it was stupid to throw away her **** and then never go back to that in the rest of the show. He never looked at her pictures at any other point. Well, he threw them away, so I guess that makes sense.

So true.I liked Ryan the most in S1 because I UNDERSTOOD his character. S1 Ryan was a realistic product because of his background, his upbringing etc.

By mid S3, I no longer recognize him anymore because I no longer understood his actions. I hate the writers also for ruining everything that Ryan was SUPPOSED to be. By S4 when they had Ryan write a poem and read it to PEOPLE! , which flies against everything that Ryan was about, I cursed the worst for Ryan.

It frustrates me beyond belief when a character does things so untrue to what his character should be and I don't know if there was any tv character that represented the EXTREME inconsistency like the character of Ryan was.

See Posh was truly a hypocrite... He could write one character so out of the shell that he was at the beginning of the show and make his changes seem like it was acceptable behavior throughout the series.... Which in the end destoyed the character.

I think meant-to-be couples could work, but writers have to get a grip on them. Obstacles are really what ruins the couple. For once I want to see a mutual breakup with cordiality afterwards. Why do they always have to make it one-sided? Ugh.
