Nobody said that Nate was the same as Marissa or equal to Marissa lol. I just happen to find Nate the most interesting character on GG at the moment and since he's the bashed character of the bunch, he reminds me of the beginning stages of Marissa.

If it wasn't for your rocking icon, I'd be ignoring you right about now. I clearly stated "I just happen to find Nate the most interesting character on GG at the moment" thus I find him a good match for Marissa.

I'm not making fun of you, I'm really curious, how is he good for Marissa? What's his character about?

Well I don't know if he's good for Marissa in a romantic sense but to me they are kind of similar.

He's got issues with his parents especially his dad who is having money issues like Marissa's dad was. And his dad is also blaming Nate for these drugs that were found. The mum is pretty much blissfully unaware.

He's got a best friend that doesn't really do much aka a male version of Summer.

He's chasing after a girl (Serena) who isn't really giving him much in return and is staying with his girlfriend (Blair) basically out of habit. Kind of like Marissa and Ryan and how she stayed with Luke for a while.

And I get the impression that he's about to be dropped by Blair cause of the infatuation with Serena. And Serena will be too busy with Dan to care. So I'm anticipating finding Nate on a lifeguard stand drowning his sorrows with a bottle of tequila. AKA, he'll become the loner of the show.

And then there's the TWOP connection where people are bashing him when I don't know why he's being bashed. Quite literally he's the only character that has anything going on away from romantic triangles.

Dan/Serena seem popular based on icons I see, as well as Blair with some dude whose name I can't remember but I know it's not Nate. So maybe he's bashed because he's in the way of two ships?

*not that that's why everyone dislikes him, lol, should someone dislike him here, but an intense level of hatred is often based on getting in the way of another ship.
