I watched the Hamilton documentary, and I was so struck by them mentioning that one of George Washington's most important legacies was gracefully stepping down, in order to facilitate a peaceful transition of power. And that Trump is so un American in so many ways, so against the American ideals, that he doesn't even see the damage that he's doing by mouthing off about maybe refusing to concede. And he's taken it to the point where it almost doesn't matter if he tries to walk it back, because his supporters are listening to him NOW about the election being "rigged."

I thought that it might be the difference in UK / US senses of humour, as to why I haven't found those SNL sketches funny. But according to some SNL fans, it should have been put out of it's misery long ago. It's as subtle as cracking an egg with a sledgehammer.

Eh, that's true of pretty much any show that's gone on as long as it did. I lived in Manhattan for two years- trust me, SNL is still beloved. And even NOT living in NYC now, lol, SNL is one of the main shows, especially in an election season, that we pretty much all talk about- at work, at home, even in stores, etc.

The premiere was brutal. I don't think I've recovered from the eye ball.

JDM is playing the role perfectly. He is equally absent of all humanity and at the same time 1000% percent charismatic and personable. Like, I'd let him babysit.

I still don't know why I only like JDM when he's playing a bad guy, though. Like, I thought Denny was the creepiest weirdo, but here JDM is playing an actual sociopath and I'm all in.

Why won't Marco Rubio quit and let Patrick Murphy have this? He doesn't like his job and no real big companies are endorsing him. Hell even NYT endorsed Patrick.

Yeah I'm not over that premiere.

I hate Rubio and want his career to die. LOL. He cannot ever be seen again as a viable Presidential candidate. The man has no actual principles. I'd take Kasich over him, and I do not like Kasich.
