LOL regarding the Aidan thing- hilariously, the new trailer was actually a news scroll here in NYC. I doubt he'll turn into anything- BC are clearly endgame- but he's annoying even in small doses and I love it when MPK tries to pretend SPJ and JC have ANY chemistry whatsoever.

Aidan definitely has his fans, some people like the nice guy. I often do too, I just don't like THIS nice guy, lol. I felt like Carrie got tossed into the tracks- and will continue to do so as long as he's onscreen- to justify his both being there and being perfect. Carrie is really, REALLY ****ed up. That's why she and Big work together so well. She and Aidan haven't fit together a second they've been onscreen. And his cutesy folksy schtick is beyond irritating.

ETA: however, I wouldn't mind if she screwed up more than Big this time around, lol. Not sex, but I don't see that happening anyway.

I think that was my problem with them too. Carrie would ultimately be the ****ed up one in the relationship and she would have to grovel back to him because she messed up. I remember how he would not even let her in and it just annoyed the crap out of me. I do prefer the good guys as well. The good guys who are flawed and ****s up but damn Carrie/Aidan were never on the same level.

The Good Wife is ****ing incredible.

The storylines are so connected and the threads of information given in each episode. EPIC. So many players from political figures right down to the kids, lol.

By the end of their second run, I was about to offer MPK my first-born never to put Carrie in this relationship again. It just does her NO favors. And it still won't. The last time, the one thing I DID like was it couldn't be put on Big. She didn't even see him
from before they got engaged until after it fell apart. Carrie just did not want him
in the "forever love" sense. But everything had to be her fault. She didn't want his laptop, his comfort when Miranda's mom died, his country lifestyle, his ring, his presence at her apartment. She couldn't trust to tell him she'd had an abortion. And every single time, it was "Pooooor Aidan." Forget him being protected over Big (although he was and that annoyed me because Big came first, dammit. LOL). He was protected over CARRIE. Which is so not cool, all over a folksy country bumpkin.
