Dude, JJ's Lucky is like, my favorite soap character EVER. No other actor- and I truly do like Greg, but still, NO OTHER ACTOR- has even come close to grasping that character, who was so unique back in the day.

That also marked the last time Liz was ever cool.

I LOVED Liz when she was introduced!

"What's your name?"
"Lucky."
"We'll see."

And the rape storyline was absolutely heartbreaking, and beautifully played by Becky and JJ. I still get chills watching Lucky confront Laura about Luke raping her, after all these years (I stocked up on some old school Lucky clips last night). And Becky and JJ were pure magic together.

It's just that she took a sharp, SHARP downturn after he left, lol.

Guza loves JJ more than Steve, so hee about that.

They would have brought him back years ago if they could get him. Guza LOVES JJ's Lucky.

The thing is, even if Greg could pull off Lucky as originated (and honestly, I don't know if he could or not), they were never going to write it for him. This is the ONLY way Lucky has a fighting chance of succeeding over Jason/Nikolas/etc, the only way they'll even attempt to actually write him as a Spencer. The only way Tony Geary will stop spacing out during just about every Lucky scene, lol. And Becky will stop staring at the wall or rolling her eyes during every Lucky scene.

Guza won't write him with no backbone if JJ is in the role. And JJ won't play it like that. JJ's Lucky copped some serious attitude with just about everyone, lol. There was no one he'd back down to. He was Luke's son.
