A thought on the whole Juliet alive/dead discussion: I obviously love her and really really really want her to be alive, but the more I think about it, the more I think she's dead. I originally thought that if the Hbomb exploded, then she would share the same fate as Kate, Sawyer, Jack and the rest of them, and therefore wouldn't be dead. But some people are saying the bomb didn't necessarily go off, because the screen went white, similar to the way it did when there were flashes, so it's speculated that they're just all going to wind up back in '07 (which would be really stupid) in which case I don't think Juliet will survive because her body has still been basically severed by giant sharp poles.
ALSO: And this is what I think is most important--the flashbacks we saw in the episode. Each flashback contained Jacob in it. Each flashback, Jacob touched the characters in some way or another--Kate on the nose, gave sawyer the pen, jack the candy bar, etc. There's something about Jacob's touch that is important--almost like a healing power. (Damon and Carlton, when asked to describe the finale, said they thought it was very "touching" and I'm positive they did not just use that word out of the blue, with no further significance.) So, the big thing here is that the one character who was not visited by Jacob is Juliet. That has to mean something, and I think that means she's not going to survive. I don't think that they would just throw that Juliet flashback in there and have it have no further meaning other than her thoughts on love have been influenced by her parents. I mean, really--if Juliet had said everything she said to Sawyer without hearing her parents say the exact same thing to her, I don't think it would have made much of a drastic difference. I think that flashback is there to show us something--that when young!Juliet ran out of the living room crying, a lot of us were expecting Jacob to be outside with a reassuring word, but he wasn't. That has to mean something.
