This relationship is the one night stand that's festered for like, a year for unknown reasons. This is not a love story. They are not compatable on even a basic level.

I hadn't actually watched the MD scene when I typed that- good for Meredith. That man-child has been coddled more than anyone should be, for faults that are entirely his own. He had a day they've all had, after more experience than most of them, and he responded by turning into a drunk in the woods. Her friend is dying (although seriously. Please die, Izzie). He can shove it up his ass. If he can save her friend's life, or at least give it a shot, and he doesn't even try, it'd be one more thing on a longggggg list of "MEREDITH WHY ARE YOU STILL WITH THIS GUY" reasons. Per usual, Meredith's life crisis problems are more serious than his and he seems utterly unaware of that.

Although actually, I don't think he should be a surgeon after that case, lol, but then again, none of them should, so I guess that's a moot point. Derek is as awful as Izzie after LVAD-gate and Bailey after what she did with that kid and neither of them are going anywhere.

Randomly, how the **** is Izzie walking around pain free with cancer that's spread to her liver and her brain?

No. LOL. It took the chief like, hours of scolding and STILL it was more "I don't think *I* can get her back" (to be his punching bag some more) not "I just became a combination of her mother and her father" for her. Derek will ultimately give in a little for about three hours if someone he respects more than Meredith rips him apart, but still he shows not enough self awareness to suggest he won't do it the next time. We've had scenes like this before, that STILL don't include "I'm sorry, I won't do it again". It changes nothing.

And his "you sent her over here expecting a ring", WTF. Is he seriously, literally mentally challenged? Yeah, I bet she was expecting you to propose right that second. NOT. She wasn't expecting you to bat your mother's precious heirloom into the night, but she wasn't expecting a proposal. But don't let that slow you down from your cesspool of self pity and woe is me, Derek.

ETA: LMAOOOOO. Sometimes I hate TWoP, but when they start cracking on Derek, I love them.
