I'd feel bad for Carly, since she's the only one who consistently puts up with Sonny and Jason and they shove her aside and put her down at every turn. She's like a pound puppy who just keeps coming back to get kicked in the teeth. But it's been too long and happened too many times now; at this point, she's just asking for it.

That was WILDLY out of character, for him not to do it beforehand. Because it's not generally in his nature, I like to think it wasn't malicious, that he got up there and just realized that he couldn't. But I don't blame him for not marrying her. Too much of her still belonged to Sonny. Always.
