I used to think that all the stuff about guns was just a stereotypical view of the States, until you confirmed all that lol.

Depends on where you live, though. It is not legal to have a gun under ANY circumstances in New York City. Like, a man shot someone who broke into his house and tried to kill him in NY, and HE got arrested because he used his own gun that he wasn't supposed to have, lol. I live in the South, where guns are much more common.

It was. That's why they outlawed guns, lol. It used to be crazy; it wasn't even safe to eat at an outside cafe. I originally didn't agree with the law. I mean, people who are going to use their guns to break the law don't care if it is against the law to have guns, lol, so law abiding citizens would pay the price. But crime rates CRASHED. I mean, they got cut in half or more, with the outlawing of guns.

Not as much crime? Revolt, lol? TRY to get the guns away from Texas. It's also somewhat unconstitutional; I'm not even sure how it works since Americans have the right to bear arms. The NRA (National Rifle Association) is furious, lol.
