Based on this episode? Kind of, although who knows what the average viewer thinks. I think some of the camera focuses on his expression were a bit much and possibly a deliberate misdirection. That or really a bit much, lol.

I said this to Mel, but WHOA creepy old guy serial killer. Almost creepier than the final scene.

And LOL exactly. Im thinking its deliberate misdirection but then as you said, who knows what the average joe thinks. For me its the sudden increase in screen time, like we're being forced to get to know this persona.
