I think we're about 40 or so over what we needed as the minimum, so we should be safe.

Yes, we appear to be pretty safe for the month. I'll post the official count as soon as I have it, and I'll make sure to update the OP tomorrow with the starting December count.

Update: post count for December starts at 273,105. We need to get past 273,570 to stay above minimum.

With the Christmas period coming this month, it'll probably be a bit more of a challenge to keep the average up. But it's maybe also an opportunity to recruit more members?

Yeah, and we were slow so far these first couple days, but it would definitely be a great time to get some new members in, even on a hit and run basis!

We were up from last month, which is great given the holiday! Of course, Thanksgiving is an American holiday, heh, while Christmas is international.

It does seem like the first couple of days each month are a bit quiet. Maybe we're all subconsciously taking a break after the stress of the end of the previous month and making sure we hit the target!

Possibly- especially if it falls on a weekend, as this did. I tend to be less likely to be in front of a computer.

Same here, as I'm usually out Friday and Saturday nights with friends getting "a little too happy" (to borrow a quote from Mischa)!

LOL, sometimes it's that, but in the case of this past weekend, I just had a lot of errands. And I went into DC for a lot of Saturday (I live about 10 miles outside of the city).

So we're just over mid-month, with the big holiday period coming up next weekend. I guess now would be a good time to have a check on how we've done so far this month, and how much further we need to go to be safe.

Start of month - 273,105
Total now - 273,441
Target - 273, 570

Posts needed = 129 (or 128 after I post this one...)

So with 14 days left, we need just over 9 per day to make it!!

The posting binges this weekend have been terrific! A couple more will really put us over the edge, because Xmas day is usually very quiet.
