Yeah, but her management are probably pushing her towards the movies because they see those as the higher-profile (and higher paying) work.

Plus, if the stage play is only a small production, the producers probably think she'd be too expensive for them, and so won't consider offering her a role.

So in a way, it's a bit of a catch-22 situation for her.

Indies don't pay much, though. And if she can get her foot in the theater door, and get some praise, sometimes that helps a lot.

And sometimes not, lol, it's really a toss up.

Another problem is that, if she wants the movie roles, she really needs to be in LA, but most of the good stage roles are in NYC!

I also think she's more comfortable in NYC- having lived there during grad school, celebrities don't tend to get harassed as much there.

She does seem happier when she's in NYC. Of course, there's also a good theatre scene in the UK, especially in London, and we know she loves it there as well.

Spending some extended time in London would probably be really good for her right now, and if she could combine it with working on a play that she really likes, that'd probably be even better!

It's unfortunate that a lot of shows have stopped filming in NYC. I mean, there's still Blue Bloods, SVU, sometimes Orange is the New Black, but there are a LOT less than there used to be. It used to be much easier for NYC actors to supplement stage projects with regular guest spots.

Maybe she's gone there to film for SVU? I guess it's not impossible that her character could be popping up on there again.

That was such an odd plot, because it had all the markings of being recurring, but then I never remember hearing about it again.

It wouldn't be the first time a show had a character who only appeared in a single episode suddenly reappear several years later.

No, SVU has done that several times.

I'd love to see her back in SVU, if only to clear up some of the bits that were left hanging. Maybe they did that deliberately, thinking that they would bring her back in again sometime in the future?

They could also bring her back as a totally different character, lol, as that too has happened multiple times on SVU.
