Mischa/Ziggy Appreciation: Meet the newest member of Team Barton!

Charlie has one. I figured it's only fair Mischa's other baby gets a thread as well, lol. This is the thread all about loving Mischa and her new baby girl, her puppy Ziggy. Mischa saw her at a pet store, fell in love with her, went back and got her, and they've been joined at the hip ever since! Some cuteness:

New pictures? Favorite pictures? Updates on Ziggy's health, lol? This is the place to share!

Okay, don't hate, but I've never been a dog fan, but I have to admit, Ziggy is DAMN cute! What happened to her?

We're not sure. Mischa was scared to put her down, she'd said in an interview. Even though she felt like a stupid L.A chick toting around a bitty dog, lol. Apparently, she had reason to be scared.

It looks serious, but it makes me laugh that she has a pink cast. Such a mama's girl!

It's not, she just has a broken paw. It's just that she's a puppy and she'll chew on it if she doesn't wear that cone. I used to work at a veterinary clinic, lol.

I know like NOTHING about dogs. Cow, yes, (don't ask, I'm a country girl, LOL!) and a little about cats, but dogs, zilch!

So you understand my pain!

The only thing I know about the Shenandoah Valley is that it played a signifigant role in the Civil War. (I love Civil War history). If I'm remembering correctly, ppl grow a lot of corn there, right?

We're actually most known for turkey and dairy! Shenandoah Pride is a big milk company. Well, I don't live there anymore, I live in Charlotte NC, but it's still my home, lol. It did play a very significant part in Civil War history. I love the Civil War. I took a class on it in high school and got HOOKED.

It was Gone With the Wind for me. I read that for the first time in 6th grade and became obsessed not only with it but with the whole historical time period. I LOVE John Jakes' novels. He's excellent. It's just so hauntingly beautiful, the war. The people involved, the idea that families fought against each other, the magnitude of it, it's a shame more people aren't familiar with all the little stories involved.

I guess I'll post here, lol. I feel like people are forgetting about Charlie

She's so adorable. Those little white paws get me every time, lol. Has anyone figured out what kind of dog she might be?

Heh. Me too, Erica. Sigh. Oh Charliee, how I miss thee!

But, yeah. Ziggy is pretty damn cute. I love her. And all the pictures are so adorable! Also, Liz, THAT'S what the cone is for! Now I understand. I've seen a lot of dogs with the cone and I knew it meant they were hurt but I never knew the exact purpose. To prevent them from chewing makes senseee!

Sometimes it's for other things, but mainly with puppies/dogs it's to stop them from chewing or licking something they shouldn't. Some dogs are so fixated on licking IV marks that the poor things have to wear cones, lol. Ziggy is such a young puppy; she'd chew the cast right up.

yea, when i first got my dog, my parents said they didnt want puppies so they got her fixed, and one day I got home from school, and she managed to take off her purple bandage that was wrapped around her bottom half...so we put it back on then got her a cone and she hated it.It was like prison for her.
