I love it when it's acknowledged as the decision that killed the show. I wish more show creators would pay attention :/

Like Rob Thomas, lol

Cristofle 12-09-2019 06:00 PM

He's a lost cause. Swallowed by his own ego and ridiculous sense of resentment.

stlavin95 12-11-2019 01:20 AM

Karma is great, lol

Cristofle 12-11-2019 05:50 PM

I also genuinely don't want him doing more damage to the memory of Veronica.

stlavin95 12-12-2019 02:10 AM

Me neither, more than he ready has anyways

Cristofle 12-12-2019 06:34 PM

S4 was a disaster for Veronica, who was long one of my all-time favorite female characters. And there is one similarity with Marissa - the way Rob seems to almost fetishize female suffering.

stlavin95 12-13-2019 02:48 PM

Calling it a disaster is sadly underselling it tbh

Cristofle 12-14-2019 06:53 PM

What was understandable when she was 16 is not acceptable in a 35 year old woman. Which I am, lol, which made it hit closer to home.

stlavin95 12-16-2019 07:37 PM

Especially considering it didn't make sense with what she was like in the movie either

Cristofle 12-17-2019 06:10 PM

No, it was a complete backtrack.

stlavin95 12-18-2019 02:10 AM

Even HS Veronica wasn't that unlikeable, lol

Cristofle 12-18-2019 06:37 PM

Well, she was a kid who had been traumatized. Not a grownass woman who should know better.

stlavin95 12-19-2019 01:42 AM

Agreed

Cristofle 12-20-2019 06:55 PM

Also, her attitude towards drugs - as someone whose mother was an addict, as someone whose partner was in recovery, as someone who had been damaged by drugs - was just utterly bizarre. Terribly written.
