That's very true. I don't think I've ever seen her reply to any comments on her social media posts. She's sometimes commented on posts by her friends, but I can't recall her ever replying to a fan's comments on her posts.

I remember being surprised she even acknowledged Rachel Bilson's support of her during DWTS, lol. Social media doesn't seem to be a give and take interaction for her.

She really does need to be more interactive on social media, as that's one of the ways now to build a good fan base.

It definitely is if it's done right- I've either discovered or re-discovered several actors through social media.

For many people, social media has now become their primary source of information about a lot of different things. So, by not being as active there as she could be, Mischa probably is harming her career, or certainly not doing herself any favours.

Yeah - I know a lot of people who just don't bother with mainstream news sources at all, and just get everything off Facebook and Twitter. I think it's partly because they don't trust the mainstream news outlets to be telling the truth, but also because they find it so convenient.

And it's those very same people who are following dozens of celebs on Instagram, Twitter, Snapchat and elsewhere, and seem to go totally nuts over every tweet, etc. Mischa and her management need to understand that those are the people they really need to be targeting.

You only need to look at how some of those who are just famous for being famous (mentioning no names...) have got where they are mainly by exploiting social media to see how it can work for people. I'm not saying that Mischa needs to be doing exactly what they have done to get where they are, but there's probably a few lessons to be learned.

I mostly think Mischa would benefit from being more interactive. Respond to fans, do some Twitter Q&As, things like that. It's become a requirement for some shows, I know.

Stuff like that would really help, and it would show people the real Mischa and what a nice person she actually is.

I mean, just randomly, while I've seen Chris Meloni most of my life in one project or another (SVU, of course, but also The Runaway Bride, Oz, etc), I had no idea how awesome he was personally until Twitter, lol.

Of course, that's also gone the other and I've wondered "Why did this person ever think it was a good idea to post on social media."

There are some really great posters on Twitter when it comes to celebrities, and I'm sure Mischa could become one of them if she tried. I think the problem could be that Mischa maybe prefers face-to-face interaction to online. In person, she's really easy to talk to, as long as you don't act all starstruck or that kind of thing - it's just the online interaction that she seems to have a difficulty with.

I see from the news that Mischa has had to go to court again regarding the tape. :(
