Rachel Bilson’s O.C. Nostalgia

Rachel Bilson has admitted she misses working on US TV drama series ‘The O.C.’ and wishes she saw more of her former co-stars.

The 28-year-old actress – who rose to fame playing Summer Roberts in the American teen drama series -had a “phenomenal” time working on the show, which ran for four seasons until February 2007, and misses working with her co-stars Mischa Barton, Adam Brody and Benjamin McKenzie.

She said: “I do miss Summer terribly. ‘The O.C.’ was the most phenomenal time. I saw Mischa at Cannes, but I honestly miss everyone from the show.”

The actress believes she has been able to avoid Hollywood trouble because she was 21 when she first appeared in the show – whereas her co-star Mischa was just a teenager.

She explained: “I do fall out of cars, but not because I am drunk, but because I am clumsy. I think the girls who come to fame younger fall into all that partying, but I did it before I became famous. I mean I was 21 when ‘The OC’ started, Mischa was 16. I can’t imagine dealing with that kind of success at that age. My life may have been very different if I had started out that young.”

And there are also tabloid stories from the UK saying that Mischa wants to leave LA for a year and focus on theatre and spending time her boyfriend. The source is Heat magazine I think, so, not putting much stock in that... but you never know.

Mischa has reportedly signed on to film a thriller titled "Into the Darkness". Filming is tentatively due to begin in August 2010.

I love how it's so hodge-podge.

I'm the same way. I live in the south, and for the most part I try to speak without an accent. But you get me around some of my more "country" friends and I suddenly start saying "you" like "yew."

s4 of the oc was not exactly like s1, it was really a comedy not a drama
in that case why not a s5 of the oc which is sci-fi with zombies, they could do a new genre every season!

of course there's the problem of reuniting the cast and getting it picked up(tho i bet the cw won't object) but hey you got to start somewhere, right?

Mel mentioned to me that Micha appears on the cover of OK! UK this week as she evidently attended the wedding of an Emmerdale star (which is a UK soap over there).

Not sure if it's a big feature or not but hopefully Mel can grab us scans soon.
