Mischa Barton - Mischa News and Appearances #31: Mischa 'excited' to be getting back to work

As everyone undoubtedly, Mischa has been reported to be having mental health problems recently. We don't want to focus too much on the gossip angle, but what's been confirmed is that she has left the hospital and intends to return to work on the set of The Beautiful Life as of next week.

Mischa Barton Returns To The Beautiful Life?

Mischa Barton has been released from the hospital and is recuperating after being placed under an involuntary psychiatric hold.

“I can confirm that she’s left the hospital with the intention to resume production [on her new CW show The Beautiful Life],” her rep Craig Schneider tells Us Weekly.

“I can tell you right now Mischa Barton is doing great,” added Ashton Kutcher, who created the model-centric drama.

Producers of The Beautiful Life recently started casting to “replace” Mischa. The show is slated to premiere on Wednesday, September 16 at 9PM ET/PT on The CW.

MySpace and IMDB both list Mischa as starring in a new quirky comedy called The Science of Cool:

Mischa has been attached to a political dramedy called "Upstate" for several months. Will anything be confirmed on this role?

Thanks for starting the new thread Liz! I'm excited that she's getting back to work myself. So glad to hear that she's getting better.

it's great that she's getting back to work and getting better! i really hope she makes a full recovery and doesn't push herself too hard. she's one of my favourite actresses out there and i really hope to see her succeed !!

Just on a random note, I want to say how appreciative I am of the kindness I've seen directed towards Mischa on this board following her hospitalization, of all the well wishes that have come from regular posters and those who don't regularly post here alike. I admit, I was bracing myself for the worst when this story broke, but by and large it hasn't happened here. We've had a lot of classy posters. I really appreciate it, and I'm sure Mischa would as well.

Mischa’s Co-Star Says She’s Back to Work & Doing Great

Mischa Barton’s co-star in her new TV show, The Beautiful Life, tells OK! that she was back to work yesterday after her recent breakdown.
Nico Tortorella, who plays a model named Kai on the new CW show, revealed at the launch party for the Blackberry Tour for Sprint that the Homecoming actress was at Wednesday’s table-read for the first episode and was “doing great” and “ready to work.”

He added that he and the cast were ready to help Mischa get back into normal life after the meltdown which saw her hospitalized and held by the authorities for her own safety.

“A bunch of [stuff] has gone down — you can’t really help it,” he told OK! at the party at NYC’s Thompson hotel on the Lower East Side.

“Everybody wants to see her get better and I think she will.”

The actor, who first met Mischa three month ago when they shot the pilot, said that he and the rest of the cast were ready to support her though this tough time.

“I’m here for her; I think we all are,” he said. “She has good people fostering good situations.”

That's really nice of him. And on top of Ben's very sweet Twitter message when everything was going down, and Ashton's message as well. It seems like Mischa has good people to work with on TBL.
