This is disappointing to hear, but sad to say it's not all that uncommon. I mean, in a college town there are several of these a night, all are listed in the school paper the next morning. She's only 21, she's going to make a mistake or two. But hopefully this will be a wakeup call for her, and from the looks of the pictures when she was released, it looks like it is. Nuala looks very displeased and I'm sure Mischa caught hell, as she should. But it could be worse. She could've been on something far worse than alcohol, or she could've injured herself or someone else.

I'm sure she's learned from this, and I'm sure she'll bounce back. I'm behind her.

That is VERY odd, because she talked about getting her license like, just a year ago. I don't get how her license could have expired so quickly.

She has to have had a license. Remember when she got into an accident awhile ago? She'd have to show her license to a cop or someone.

We have a graduated system here, so until you get your full license you have restrictions. The entire process from your learners to your full license takes at least 2 years! They could have something like that there. Heh.

I agree again, Jess. Do licenses just expire so quickly? If it was revoked surely there would have been a reason and we would have heard about it by now.

I know she got into a few accidents but still, that's no reason to revoke a license.

That's what confuses me, I don't understand her invalid License.

I don't understand either. I googled it and couldn't find anything under California drivers license that was anything different from the license or regulations here.

Some states, you have to get a new license when you turn 21 because under 21 licenses are a different color. That is to make it easier to spot when you are carding someone for alcohol. If you got your license a month before you turned 21 you would still need to get a new one once your 21st birthday came around.

TMZ is reporting that more than alcohol was involved

Barton was popped at 2:45 AM Thursday in West Hollywood. Cops pulled her over after they witnessed her "straddling two lanes of traffic and failed to signal when making a turn."

She was arrested on suspicion of DUI, possession of narcotics and driving on a suspended license. Barton was taken to the West Hollywood Sheriff's station and was released on $10,000 bail.

I swear she had her license when she was 21, though. Because she got into an accident when she was 21 and would have had to show the officers her license.

TMZ keeps saying she had a suspended license. Which means she had one, but she wasn't supposed to drive on it.

This is definitely disappointing to me, as she's someone I've looked up to and admired because she's been so professional and so sweet in the limelight,rather than be trapped in it just like almost every other Hollywood girl out there today. That being said, I've stuck up for her in the past, and I'll continue to,just as any of her true fans will. People make mistakes. I hope she stays out of LA for awhile, as nothing good has really come from it in the past. She should stay in New York, or London, or somewhere where she can stay out of this kind of trouble. Hollywood's like a trap, everyone says it:Hollywood is no place to live, it's no place to grow up,because it corrupts you. She messed up big-time, but I think she's mature enough to learn from it and not make this same mistake again.
