He got what he wanted in a back handed way lol; ratings stunt, media attention etc. The problem for him is that it did nothing for The OC and only further propelled Marissa as the focus character. I think we can safely safe that Ryan was not the main character lol. Nobody cares. And it was shown to the world that Mischa has fans.
