I see a lot of people having a similar reaction that I did, which was that the judge Len was WAY overly harsh on her when she didn't have the best dance definitely, but also didn't have the worst (why wasn't he at least equally harsh on Geraldo???). They did the same thing to Kelly Monaco, and she ended up winning, lol, but still.

DP, but interesting- we were talking about DWTS at work (and for once I knew what everyone was talking about, lol) and there was a lot of sympathy for Mischa with my co-workers. They thought Len was incredibly mean to her, and a few of them voted for her because of it.

That is a pattern I have always noticed when I watched. The explanation is not every judge is looking for most technical but things like personality and ability to excite the crowd. But I haven't watched in many years lol

Kind of amusing seeing these unexpected shout-outs.

Reading a lot of the comments on instagram and twitter, I'm getting the feeling that a lot of people want to root for her, and if Mischa is able to step it up even a bit and if she's able to feel more confident, it's going to help her a lot.

And yeah, it seems like most people are supporting her. I was so worried the experience would be completely negative, but it has been a nice process so far.

I'm not super happy with some of the blog versions of rags, heh, but I guess I was never going to be. In my actual life, co-workers and such, people seem sympathetic to her.

I think what irritates me most is the insinuation she got a lower grade because people wanted her to be more "bubbly"- I feel like this is an expectation of actresses, and one that almost never gets placed on actors. Mischa is shy and introverted, and people tend to judge her more harshly than they might as a result. As someone who is pretty awkward and introverted myself, I bristle when people complain about that.

I hate that! Mischa is perfectly kind and approachable. Just doesn't have to put an extra facade on top of that.

Sadly, people have a pre-set image of what certain people (or types of people) should be like, and they expect everyone to conform to that image.

Ohhh yeah!! It is almost the exact same shot, lolol.

I'm actually looking forward to maybe a more natural-style in DWTS, cause I think the week 1 costume and hair/makeup was a bit full on. But I guess that's the show.

Especially female celebrities, who have to be "up" all the time otherwise the labels start.
