It was kind of obvious onscreen TBH, lol.

Which is why, despite the writing for Theresa being bonkers, I don't dislike her as much as Lindsay or Sadie, lol.

I don't know who I think it worse between Lindsey and Sadie. Everything about Nikki Reed's acting choices grate me the wrong way, so that's a problem. But every moment I watched Lindsey onscreen felt like a hundred years, the entire thing was so deeply boring.

The lack of chemistry between Lindsay and Ryan was awful, lol and the whole Caleb reveal ended up being pointless

Ben didn't have a lick of chemistry with either actress, but those scenes with Lindsay really were black hole. Theresa was kind of amusing because Navi always had this attitude like Theresa wasn't really THAT into him, even if it didn't match the writing.

Noticed that during my last rewatch, thought it was hilarious. Not Marissa/Johnny funny though, lol

I am actually not at all sure I've ever seen two actors where their utter lack of chemistry is so profound, it actually becomes hilarious.
Although I have to say, Katie Holmes was also funny in scenes with CMM on DC since even when she was supposed to act as if they had sexual chemistry, she always looked like she was thisclose to shivving him. __________________

Me neither, especially when the writers are trying to sell something differently
Do remember you telling me that |

It may have been the most I ever enjoyed her character, lol, because it was such a departure.
On the flip side, however, CMM was like, the only actor who had real chemistry with Alexis Bledel on GG, even though his character was a mess. __________________

Haven't heard great things about Joey, lol
What made his character a mess? |

Really one-note preppy brat, obviously designed to be an antagonist to her good guy boyfriend Dean (who was played by JarPad and let me tell you about a shocking lack of chemistry, lol). But Dean was kind of problematic, so it was just a mess.

Aren't all of Rory's boyfriend's problematic in some ways?

Yes. I don't even want to get started on Jess. Logan was probably my favorite because he evolved onscreen (Jess' improvement was almost entirely offscreen after two years of being a bitch). But also because Matt Czuchry was by far the strongest performer of the main three while on the show. He and Alexis didn't have a ton of chemistry on the show, but they had improved in the reboot. I'm not sure if that's because Alexis is now a better actress or if it's because she so obviously preferred working with Matt over Milo, lol (who is her ex, and that was also kind of a mess).
