To go to Amy's post a couple pages back...I LOVE those scenes. I mean, I love every scene, but my favorites are:

-Mary B writing the letter to her mother
-The two little scenes where Mary talks about how her mother used to love to get her hands dirty with the gardener and then she dances around in the room with Paulie and Tori
-Mary telling Alison off for trying to get her to write off Paulie (interestingly, that was Emily VanCamp in the role of Alison)
-Mary screaming about her father
-the final scene, from when Mary runs up to everyone else to her voiceover at the very end. Mischa was the only person in that scene to nail the symbolism of the final moment.

Those 2 moments were beyond incredible acting from Mischa, she just stole the movie there.

She was seriously the ONLY person to nail that final scene. I mean, the entire movie was well acted but that final moment was REALLY artsy and symbolic, so it was hard to grasp, but Mischa just nailed it. And I love her line in the voiceover (she's again writing to her mother aloud): "I almost got lost too, didn't I? But the pure love you gave me 'til you died was like a flame, always burning....that flame was all I needed to fight my way through the dark. You saved me, Mama. From that deep dark."

I totally agree. It was an amazing movie and those scenes were awesome. (Oh yeah and I noticed that was Emily VanCamp who was Allison.) I loved all the moments when she was gardening, she was so sweet. And everything from when she was just wandering around crying when her dad didn't show up to the party thing, to when she was watching Paulie fight the other dude and screaming about what she did, to the final scene of the movie, Mischa was just amazing. She blew me away.

I loved her narration about her mother, for some reason it always made me want to cry, she had such a bond to her, trying to not forget her, and I think a lot that came from her father being who he was.

Awww, when she was wandering around the parking lot crying because her dad stood her up for the father/daughter dinner, that just broke my heart. *sniff*

I love the line "I felt like a gray mouse headed straight for the mouth of a cat."

My fav scene of Mischa (don't know why) is the one when emily van camp enters the room to wake her sister up and she's with Pauile and Paulie says something to Mouse (Mischa's character) and she stands up and says something like "it is not what you think" or something like that... sooooooo sweet.
