I love this movie! Mischa was so good in it. She, Piper Perabo, and Jessica Pare were all amazing.

That movie was incredibly well done. Admittedly, it was a bit controversial when it came out but I, as a straight female, thought it was a beautiful film. All the girls did a great job. I remember being blown away by Piper Perabo...and Mischa did a good job as well!

Where are you going to look at for the dvd, i want to buy it but my credit card is maxed out and so i cant buy it on the internet...i have the cash though..

I'm going to look in a few places. There's a Wal Mart, a Best Buy, a Target, and a Circuit City all within about ten minutes of my house (it's not for rent at Blockbuster. What's annoying is the Blockbuster I worked at in high school had it, but I graduated high school before Mischa was on The OC and I didn't even recognize her on the cover from Once and Again because she looked so different, so I didn't rent it when I had the chance). If it isn't there, I'll go to the very expensive DVD store in the mall, lol. They have almost everything.

I think so too. I'm a straight female, and I loved it. It's just a really lovely movie, with some amazing acting.

I feel the same way, it was such an intensely moving film.

I FINALLY found this! I went to like six different stores and two different rental places, but I found it. It was one of those things where I didn't even realize I wanted to see the movie so badly until it seemed like the Northern Virginian area was conspiring against me, lol. I think I'll watch it this afternoon. As always, be back afterwards!

ETA: Okay, I watched it. What a wonderful movie! I really think this is up there with Mischa's work at Katie Singer on O&A as her best work to date. Piper Perabo was absolutely fabulous as well; so was... I think it's Jessica Cara or something? The scene where the three girls write letters to their mothers out loud was incredible; wonderful acting all around. If you haven't seen this movie, I highly encourage it. Seriously, if y'all watch ANY Mischa movie, watch this one.

I agree with Piper, she just blew me away! Mischa was so adorable as Mouse, my fav. part with her...well, one of them is when she's yelling about hating her father!

Piper was OUTSTANDING. I've always liked her; she always comes off as cute and sweet. But this was absolutely the performance of her career to date.

I think my two favorite Mouse/Mischa moments are when she writes the letter aloud to her mother; I almost started to cry when she talked about not always being able to remember what her mother looked like, and the final moment where Mouse looks at the bird as it flies away. I thought Mischa NAILED that scene, and it wasn't an easy scene to grasp. It was actually the one moment where Jessica Pare (that's her last name; the actress who played Tori) didn't overwhelm me, but Mischa just had everything down in that scene. I think that's always been Mischa's strong suit regardless; she's very expressive. Her facial expressions are dead on more often than not.
