Lisa (Throwdown) #1: A spotlight on human trafficking in the US
BEYOND JUSTICE aka Guilty Silence Sky Studios International continues its Hollywood Hot Streak! Shortly after wrapping production of the sexy psychological thriller 'Dead Ringer' starring Timothy Woodward Jr., Ross Bagley, Jacqui Holland & Eric Roberts, the Sky Studios team began work on the highly anticipated legal thriller 'Beyond Justice'. 'Beyond Jusitce' (originally titled 'Guilty Silence') is the first feature length film written by Wes Miller that will be distributed internationally. It is also the fith film produced under the "Woodward Model" to receive distribution. "With Technology where it is today, we can do amazing things. I've figured out a way to literally take one tenth [of] what most independent filmmakers spend and produce products that look ten times better then what 90% of independent filmmakers produce". Woodward shared surprisingly non-boastfully. Woodward is, above all else, a business man. His natural entrepreneurial mindset and his frank personality combined with his obvious eye for film make him a serious force to be reckoned with. We can be sure to see more amazing things from this Young Hollywood Upstart as he schmoozes his way through the film industry. 'Beyond Justice' focuses on the life of a young criminal defense attorney as he struggles a homicide case that is more that is not as cut and dry as it appears, while battles a drinking habbit. The "big picture" of the story goes beyond the lives of those directly related to the case and shines a much needed spotlight on the horrific world of human trafficking in the United States. In addition to highly praised leading man Timothy Woodward, the film stars Mischa Barton (The Sixth Sense, The O.C.), Vinnie Jones (Snatch, X-Men: The Last Stand), & Danny Trejo (Machete, Grindhouse). This is actually a really important issue, one that a couple of my family members are deeply involved in combating, so I'm happy she's involved in the project.

It seems to increasingly be an issue on the forefront of discussion, which is great.

I like Beyond Justice, but given the content of the film I wonder if Guilty Silence isn't a better title.

I will get the DVD to add to my collection, but I can't say than i'm that interested in seeing this. If it wasn't for Mischa, I don't think i'd bother.

I'd like to see more of the political complexity of this, and not just the revenge angle- hopefully that's there, it just didn't show up in the teaser trailer.

I honestly dk. It looks okay, average at best. Mischa looks like she's halfway trying. But did anyone notice the PG rating at the end? lol.

Hey guys, not sure, but usually an MPAA rating means a movie is moving along right? Anyways it was rated in the most recent ratings (R-Language, Violence and Brief Drug Use). Hopefully this means there's some progression with the film.

IMDb is listing Lionsgate as a distributor, so a home entertainment release is likely forthcoming.

According to IMDB its being released June 4th in Japan (yet again its never the US lol).
