With, what looks like so little Mischa in the film, I don't think i'll buy this on on release.

Just finished watching this....

Mischa appears in a handful of scenes throughout the movie only through Skype conversation (aside from a brief scene at the end where she appears with the lead actor). So it's clear she was brought in after the main shoot to just fill the movie in a bit.

No joke, her scenes are basically the only good part of the script.

Pros:
- Mischa looks great and her scenes were light and they really lift the movie.
- The lead actress looks like a cross between Minka Kelly and Nina Dobrev.
- The lead actress has mesmerising hair.
- The movie is shot well and the cinematography is beautiful. However, some of the slow motion shots are a little off, and the sound mixing/effects on insignificant things like hearing a punch or someone walking through grass is also off, therefore making it very noticeable.

Cons:
- Script is very flat, the plot is just too thin. It's actually a bit frustrating cause I thought this was going to be a movie shedding some light on a serious environmental issue, but it's actually a staged situation therefore making that whole angle pointless.

- And then there's the love story which is immensely forced. I barely have comment on this cause I was more interested in Ruby's shiny hair. There was no smooth build up between the characters, and they go from being lukewarm to star-crossed lovers with nothing in between.

- Jonathan Bennett's character is legitimately ridiculous.

In essence, if they would have taken the lead actress, Mischa and Billy Zane and put them in a movie about a real environmental issue. Then we'd have something.

Instead, we have this. Which is worth the $4.99 rental for Mischa's scenes and Ruby's hair.

Dangit Sam, lol I didnt't wanna hear that. I haven't seen it, but we usually agree on Mischa's movies. I felt like it wasn't gonna be good but was hoping it'd be a bit of a gem. Oh well. At least she's only got a small part, and it is a small film. Here's to hoping that Beyond Justice will be good, but I"m not getting my hopes up.

I was hoping it would be a gem of a movie too. But I guess with so little Mischa, it was always going to be an uphill battle.

As I've said before, Mischa is very good at choosing characters. I have liked basically every single character she's played. Even the characters in the barely watchable 1303 and Cyberstalker were passable.

But it's like she doesn't look at the script as a whole. It would be far more beneficial if she had a small role in a movie with a really compelling plot, than these regular appearances in quite uninspired screenplays.

And I'm probably being a bit harsh on this movie. It's not terrible. It's just you can see what they were trying to achieve, but it didn't quite get there.

Someone please watch it, lol. I need a second opinion.

Yeah, that's actually happened even when she was younger, at least a couple times- she was far and away the best part of Pups, and of the movie she did with Jessica Alba.
